First time I came across this guy we were both solo. He goes rogue on me and I easily beat him down.
Apparently this hurt his fragile ego as he comes back a minute later with god-like powers.
Ubi, please tell me you'll ban this guy forever.
(Edit: Removed video for naming and shaming)
The DZ from what I hear is as bad as it was near launch with the amount of hackers.
Every time I see videos like this I feel so disappointed in Ubisoft letting this game die out.
I'm sure they put a huge amount of effort getting the Division on track, but action speaks louder than words (or lack of words).
When this game was being sold it should have came with a big Warning Label on the front cover saying
' This game is prone to Hacks and Cheats ' ☠☠☠
Unfortunately the Moderators will remove the video clips or lock this thread due to the so called 'The reporting policy ' 🙄
Pve is also infiltrated, just go and look at the GE Leaderboards they're totally BS.
Cheaters are like an endangered species of animal ,very well protected
And what now Ubi?. Will you finally issue a ban? Sock Monkey did your job and detected a cheater and reported him. Normally, some of you guys should constantly play PVP and find those players spoiling the fun for all others. Originally, I wanted to finish my last PVP comms (I am at 5235) and to complete the Shields but I am reconsidering it now. I started with RDR yesterday and I am not sure if it is worth to come back once in while when I see videos like this one here.
Unfortunately there is no name and shaming on the forums. Players can change their names 1x per month from what I gather anyways! Ofc they have fragile egos.... no reason to cheat otherwise!Originally Posted by Sock_Monkey Go to original post
Ive only come across a dozen or so maybe obv hackers like this. Dont hold your breath. Ubi has no take. Its all done interally with no transparency.Originally Posted by Sock_Monkey Go to original post
Game needs to die out so players migrate to the new game. At least that what Id expect from a publisher.Originally Posted by RushLoongHammer Go to original post
LOL.... true.... but if you read the EULA or whatever youll probably find that the game is sold "as is" and that any online experience is nothing to do with the dev/pub. Thats not the same as mechanics and gameplay etc.Originally Posted by XahRith16 Go to original post
As for endangered species comment.... I think its probably more to do with protecting the perception of their game. No one wants to play a game full of hacking, cheating, exploitiers....... ^^
Im coming to the conclusion that the war on hacking is like the war of drugs..... unwinnable in the eyes of game developers/publishers! ^^ Personally I think banning accounts although positively lucractive for the dev/pub is a waste of time. Better to herd those players and keep track of them somehow away from the legit community.Originally Posted by rosch15 Go to original post
Theyre (dev/pub) only course of action is to basically tag an account that gets constantly reported and their ingame behaviour inspected and found to be cheating, breaking the rules, etc. Once tagged they should be put onto servers of their own and let the legit players be free to actually enjoy the game. Any "friends that wish to join" these tagged accounts unfortunately will have to have their session on the servers where other cheaters are sure to be found. Once they leave that persons group they go back to "normal" servers. It will save alot of manhours and pain for all involved. Cheaters vs cheaters. Legit players vs legit players.
It had seemed to be getting better the last 3 or 4 months. I was speculating that the blatant cheaters were getting bored (how can it not get old overnight when it's impossible to lose). I had not seen one this bad in many months, and like I noted, he first entered the DZ legit, turned rogue and tried to take me on. When it was all over within 8 seconds I believe it hurt his feelings and he switched on all the hacks and rampaged the server. That was also the time he started spewing toxic stuff in the chat too about my mother (who died 10 years ago) and so on and so forth.Originally Posted by RushLoongHammer Go to original post
Yes, that's true, but I refuse to believe Ubi's policy is so dumb as to ban based on a player tag (as opposed to the account it belongs to).Originally Posted by agentCoats Go to original post
Bans would be meaningless otherwise...
I've seen a monotonic increase in cheater videos and posts since U1.7-U1.8.Originally Posted by Sock_Monkey Go to original post

Agreed 100%. Outside of this crap I think I've enjoyed TCTD more than most games I've played the last 25 years, but as much as I enjoyed the good parts I won't even consider Div 2 unless I see solid proof that a.) Massive abandoned the trusted client networking model and totally overhauled the netcode, and b.) in addition there is a very robust, anti-cheat system in place - even if they have buy it from a 3rd party vendor.Originally Posted by RushLoongHammer Go to original post
On the other hand, if Div 2 is a new story and refreshed graphics on top of the same rotting foundation there is no way they're getting my money. Vote with your wallet!
