Hey, kids.

So it's about time I upgrade (or actually rebuild) my computer again, and as Wildlands is the most graphically demanding game I've ever played---and the first game I've encountered in a long time that I cannot effectively run with all settings maxed---I'm interested in the sort of systems those of you who habitually play with everything at ultra are using.

I do literally mean everything at ultra including textures---which is for me, according to Wildlands' graphics settings tool, the most system breaking option---without your machine struggling.

A brief outline of your GPUs, CPUs, RAM, et cetera would be appreciated. Also if you've benchmarked your machine using Wildlands' own tool or any other wellknown benchmark software I'd be interested in that too. And overclocking/temperature information would be of interest too if you have that. And of course what kinds of FPS rates you typically get from Wildlands. And any other things you might have noticed about how GRW performs for you.

To some this may sound like a lot of work, but I also know plenty of people out there---including me---love to take any opportunity to put on their enthusiast hats, strut their stuff, and talk performance. ))))

no overlocking, card and cpu run on a water cooling system, the cooling system is a must, otherwise (in my case) the card will run hot, and the game will not work as it should) attach some images and the video of the benchmarker

Ooh, thanks so much for that, that's the sort of thing I'm looking for.

Getting ~60 FPS on ultra in 1080p is about where I'm aiming as well.

I'm thinking I'll probably go 2070 over 1080 Ti, but it shouldn't be that much worse, I think.

What happens if you run an ultra benchmark on the second machine?

Actually what happens if you do high and very high on the first?

My theory is that the ultra textures are going to make a far bigger difference than going from high to very high does.

i can try the second option on the new machine (high and very high) , the old one don't allow me to run ultra, be back with results

Doesn't allow you? Not literally surely? I was just wondering what sort of struggling FPS you'd get if you tried.

My current machine is weaker than your older one, and it does let me load in with all ultra settings, it just chokes constantly on the frames.
