I just glitched to death in ghost mode

I have already unlocked my suit and completed ghost mode but have 2 friends doing is so I thought I would help them level through. I have now died 3x in ghost mode:
    1) fell of VERY short ledge and my AI stood over me letting me bleed out
    2) helping my buddies last night I had switched on tier mode. Got a little too aggressive and died but 1 sec bleed out and I was done they had no time to come revive me.
    3) ok stuff happens so between last night and today releveled my guy to 24 smuggling pretty much done most everything unlocked and beefed up including almost all medals I land a chopper get out and fall through the map. After falling several hundred feet i hit a loading screen which put me dead back at a safe house. My buddy couldn't get there quick enough and the timer wasn't moving anyway but boom dead and done.

Ok sure ghost mode and even tier mode are repudiative but I enjoy the game so doing them was fun. But this is just frustrating. To lose progress from falling through the map? Come on now...
Thats the link to the video on youtube sorry in advance lots of f'bombs I was pretty frustrated.

you should backup your saved game after every completed mission, otherwise is a freaking PITA re doing all missions

    Know Them Feels!

Think I died 3 times falling through the map on GM but still flew regardless & eventually made tier 1.
Quarter of the way through tier 3 on campaign, keep at it buddy.

Thanks for the positive thoughts and encouragement Jag. Believe me it does ad something to the feel of playing knowing that death resets progress but when you die and its to something not your fault like a game glitch it took the wind right out of me. Besides I had already beaten it this was just a guy I could use to help my buddies run through it with. This last death killed it for us.

You can save your sessions on both consoles, PS4 & Xbox though it means playing offline. When your happy with your progress you go back online to update your save.
If you die since your offline you delete that session from your PS4 drive then go back online so the game downloads your last online save where you were alive. Rinse repeat all the way to tier 1.
I’m not entirely sure if this is how it’s done on PS4 but their was a thread floating around on how to do it but it’s what you basically do for Xbox.

PS4 is likely the easiest platform to back up your save files and no, you don't have to play offline to do it either. The saves are not fed to the cloud in real time as far as I can tell but it's easy enough to test in your own case.

As soon as you die you download your online saves. When you're done playing a session or want to save at a point, you upload your saves. Simple as that.

If you press the option button on the game icon in the main screen you'll see an option to upload/download saves. Press that and you'll go though the process. I simply select all when uploading and downloading. Just need to make sure you do the right one (upload/download). If the game is still running when you're doing this, it will automatically close the program.

In fact, you may still be able to recover your previous save if it's not too late. The dates and times are listed for the files. I always check those before I do a restore or save just in case.

The xbox is the real SoL platform for ghost mode... either play alone (which defeats the purpose of ghost mode for me) or risk restart due to tardism bugs. Fell through the map once, use A to 'cross' a boulder and my guy tried to parachute over the other side... and fell 2 feet and insta-died. No rez option. Last one was fun, infinitely respawning sicarios. same three guys just kept spawning in. Ahh, living the dream.

I know both the pain and accomplishment. I made it through ghost mode and tier one so it felt great. Helping my wife through her attempt at lvl 30 I was in a heli and clipped a tree, fell two feet to the ground and the heli exploded.

No **** it worked. tried downloading just the ghost mode save and didn't work but downloaded all the saves and i could log in to the save from the morning that was level 13. Still a pretty useable character. Nice Kean thanks for the heads up.
