I have played this game a lot before, but I am trying to get it to work on this PC right here. On my other computer, it works just fine, but there is something very peculiar going on. Let me start with the fact that the Appdata Folder Detection Error is extremely annoying. Every time I boot up the game, the error appears. I have looked online and the only answer I could find was to delete the For Honor Data folder in the hidden ProgramData folder in the C disk. I have downloaded this game to the D disk because it just plainly doesn't fit on my C disk. I have edited my view in the File Explorer to also include hidden files. I have deleted the For Honor Data file. I boot up the game again. The same thing happens, I get the same error again. It appears that the For Honor Data folder has come back. I have tried this a couple of times and found out that the game created the folder every time I booted up the game. So I also tried to delete the file while the game was booting up. Every time I deleted it, the game created it again. It continuously just failed to start up. So I started looking deeper. I looked at the properties of the For Honor Data file and see that CREATOR AND OWNER does not have access to the file itself, it only has access to the contents. I do not know if that is any useful information, but maybe it is. Can anyone help this dilemma?
