Why do they waste resources creating such a garbage multiplayer experience?

Why even waste time on this? Today I've tried it for the first time and it's pure trash in every aspect of it I Maps are horrible in both vs and solo mode because they are made by regular users who hve no clue how to do anything.... Besides remaking half assed call of duty level. On top of that I am kinda being forced to go through this **** because they slapped trophies on it and from the look of it I won't be able to get them because nobody plays this crap.

I don't know how you end up with worse multiplayer than FC4

Id go as far as to say that FCIP had the best MP and steadily went downhill ecer since. Though fwiw I'd have to say FC5 is better than FC4 MP because at least you can play your maps with your friends

    Arcade is trash.

Co-op campaign is a lot of fun though.

COD Consumers - the biggest problem for a game industry development! Big open world game, shooter game, has only one trouble - COD Consumers!

I prefer the MP side of Far Cry and have always bought the game to play the MultiPlayer.

Its the only part of the game that you can play for years on end. Some people still playing FC2 today in multiplayer.

Maybe Ubi could invest more resources into creating a fantastic MP experience like they used to instead of wasting so much potential?

Ah I see. Yes you are totally justified in your statement then because you and a few of your friends thinks it trash. So yea, it must be. Doesn't really matter what the mapping community think does it?

Considering there are currently 22,000 forum posts in General Discussion and only 11,500 posts in the mapping section, I guess this is a purely single player game and nobody is interested in Far Cry Arcade?

So easy to make assumptions my friend.

To be fair, the lobby system in arcade is now the best it has been since Far Cry 2.

Pretty dumb to suggest they scrap an entire element of the game because you personally don't enjoy it. I can only speak for myself but when I buy a game, and find that I'm not fond of one of it's modes in particular, I simply don't play that mode and stick to the aspects of the game I do enjoy, which is what I did for this game as I wasn't particularly fond of the MP element myself. What I wouldn't do, is have the narrow-minded and arrogant perspective that because I didn't like, that must be the general consensus and the resources spent creating it would be better spent elsewhere. Textbook hubris.

I'm all for pvp/mp, but maps that look like a Ubisoft fanboy's chaotic fever dream? Noty.

And as for whether Ubisoft should put resources into the main campaign or other modes... Well this isn't really down to whether you like it, or whether you simply ignore it. It comes down to one thing - popularity. And FC5 'arcade' hasn't exactly been a smash hit (despite the rather heavy-handed way Ubi has been attempting at forcing it down our throats in FC5).

Arcade seems to only appeal to a (relative) handful of PVP fans and map editors, compared to literally millions of campaign players. Which suggest to me that yes, the resources would have been better spent elsewhere.

If it was popular and decently active, then fine, I'd be happy to just ignore it. But it really isn't.

I would argue the point that its not popular because of the reason of little investment into it. Do not blame the consumers for the design flaws in the product. Its like a lovely hot Big Mac served with cold fries.

The campaign gets the lion's share of resources therefore it is a more finished part of the game and creates it own popularity among gamers.
In my opinion Ubi are totally wasting potential in the MP by totally ignoring it. After FC2 the MP has been playing 2nd fiddle to the single player story.
