    Yeah it's a F*********** MESS

They didn't balance or think about the design at all. You can hit the level cap without even exploring half map and not even going 30% into the campaign. Yet, certain upgrades cost so much.

I don't understand how a team can be so stupid to add enemy level scaling, but forgot to add exp scaling or curb over leveling. Witcher 3 had a perfect system for this.

I think the op was basicly sumarizing the complaints from other threads which is why numbers 1-3 contradict eachother.

Complaint nr2, you do actulay grow in power with lvls as well jut not as much as enemies for that you need to lvl up your gear and spear(this rly isnt a problem in my eyes because it doesnt matter on lower dificultues and on hard/nightmare you should wellcome it being a bit more difficult.

Complaint nr4, i dont know if you know but legendary sets do autolvl on your lvl when you recive the final part of the set(now i didnt try with having em stored in ship storage but when in inventory they defenatly lvl up to your curent lvl when reciving last part), so only thing you rly need to upgrade yourself are weapons/ship which shoudlnt be a problem if you do sidemissions/bounties etc..

Complaint nr5, now personaly thats semms an issiue for some people which i fail to undrstand, point of doing sidemissions is to get all the sidestories in the game(many of which are fun and interesting to play trough) and point of exploring is to actualy explore the beautiful world ubi created which in my opinion is one of the best things the game has to offer. I my opinion if your incetive in games is just to reach max lvl than you are playing it wrong(again personal opinion can respect other peoples playstyles but that doesnt mean i understand em).

Now cud things be tweaked a little, ofc they cud but no matter what they do never everyone will be pleased with it so usualy its best to go with a compromise which is kinda what we have atm.(perhaps they cud do some minor tweaks to it but i wudnt say any major changes are rly needed)

I can tell you that unless you have it in your inventory, the gear doesn't level up. I saved and obtained the last piece of the Achilles set with the rest on my ship and it didn't level. Reloaded my save, went back and put the rest in my inventory, and it all leveled up.

Thx mate for the ship part, i tested it myself earlier today and already made a thread about it to let others know cuz i think a lot of people dont even know about the autolvl up feauture because its partialy bugged(with not working when any part is in your ship storage) and not advertised in game tips at all.

Ha I made a thread as well because I had the exact same thought. I've seen people mentioning it on other threads so I figured it deserved it's own so everyone could see it.

Maybe they thought you would actually play the story instead of grinding for 40 hours

Levels and leveling as it implemented now is completely nonsense.

It would be better if there would be no leveling levels. So all enemies in the whole map should be same level as you. By playing you gain skills and special abilities. And find better gear etc

So to keep in interesting you will meet also more difficult special enemies as you progress, enemies and bosses with more abilities, or more stamina, for which it is required you have gained skills and or abilities.

Isn't this pretty much exactly how it already works? Enemies auto scale to your level, and you come across mercenaries and enemies with better attacks/elemental damage the more you progress, making it essential to invest in abilities to do more damage and better gear/engravings to up your resistance. So what's the difference?

Now many ereas have higher level enemies. So going everywhere is limited. Because EVERYTHING (instead of just some bosses or special enemies) attacking you is overpowered in those areas. What i wrote was then remove the level number thing. Just Allow player getting abilities based on XP and improving skills on using them. So what i wrote is not the same as it is now.

It just feels strange that you start in a area where all poeeoals, enemies etc, like they all do the same odyssey (wrok and combat training) like you. It just is so weird.

Leveling is too slow? I played what the game gave me; every region I found myself in, I completed every quest then moved on with the story. Eventually beating the story just yesterday and hit level 50 right at the end of it. If you ask me, the leveling is perfect. Just some people out there want to have everything given to them. It isn't a race; it's a single player game for crying out loud... What are you people trying to do? Make it to endgame in the first 3 days the game is out? Then what? Possibly farm Orichalcum until you get bored out of your mind and cry about no content later? That is the thing with people these days; I've logged 80hrs in so far and JUST NOW completed the story by taking it slow and enjoying what the team created. Even though experience won't count anymore, I will complete every quest and farm Orichalcum until I get everything Odyssey has to offer or I'll play another game until new content starts flowing but I won't be quitting anytime soon.

As for enemies getting harder; there is a difficulty 'slider'... I've beat the story on hard mode and had some patches that took a few tries but nothing mind-boggling hard.

As for gear; stop upgrading. It's an RPG, it isn't Fortnite. You aren't using skins, you are using armor. Don't worry about upgrades until you are level 50, that's when builds start happening - you are basically wasting resources. Using those resources for your ship is the best thing to do at the start.

I just don't get it; people buying games that require some grind but they don't want to do any of the grinding (playing certain content, putting in hours, etc)...
