It's fairly easy to see in the forums that there are only a handful of supporters for perks. Many reject them. It's pretty clear they are pulling the same move Xaviant did. Changing their game despite the people not liking it. The game will die, that happens with any game that does that. Any game that drastically changes a system to make it no where near as viable usually either dies or reverts. FF Online or whatever it is (my cousin plays it) rolled back an update because it nullified many things in the game.
Does any of that sound familiar? Either they can recover from this, or they will fade like the Culling did.
Didfrent opinnion here, i too had 7 chars fully geared for different uses but as avid dueler as i am this really didnt effect me, sure i had crappy perks *remedy and inner sight for all of them* but i think this made the 4v4 more balanced, no more rolf stomp dmg on the lower rep guys and no more revenge popping after every 4 block/parries as in duels stamina consumption now afects 4v4 thats a + ppl just needs to learn their chars again. But i feel you. Only thing i want is higher lvl gear should open more perks.
I'd rather they go back to gear stats, remove Revenge Gain (that was really the only overpowered stat) and maybe have the perks as refinement. Stats were the core of this game. Damage you could only squeeze out a maximum of a couple extra points, with stamina only gaining an extra hit or two. It wasn't much, but it made a difference to grind.Originally Posted by fretti21 Go to original post
My low level friend roflstomped Rep 40's with no issue. Now when he went up against a revenge build, that was different. There shouldn't be 2 revenge activations in a 1 on 1 in dominion. Any ridiculous damage comes from feats, which I do know should have been looked at.
I think they read the reviews and we need to wait some time, because it is called "beta test", so let's give them more time to sort out our feedbacks, and see what happens nextOriginally Posted by VolatileKnight Go to original post
They already had the test on Marching Fire, everyone said they didn't like Perks then either haha. They are genuinely acting this way unfortunately. They looked us dead in the eye and told us that we asked for this.Originally Posted by Q....Q Go to original post
To re-emphasize this point: gear stats were about pointing your hero toward a play-style. They were not direct buffs and they are not the reason noobs got stomped by veterans (maybe it's because the veterans know how to play the game and the noobs don't?!?!?!). I agree Revenge Gain needed to either go or be refined so the tradeoff was bigger or you got less Revenge.Originally Posted by VolatileKnight Go to original post
Being good at FH is about reaction time, prediction sense, and knowing the roster. Gear stats affected none of that.
Thank you!!!!! So many whiney newcomers complaining about gear... It's not gear that's the issue. It never has been. It always comes down to skill. All these players saying that we rely on gear, blame gear for their own shortcomings with the game. It's fine to not be as skilled as the next guy, but don't dare even try to blame Gear.Originally Posted by DoctorMcBatman Go to original post
Thank you Doc, I really appreciate your posts.
Also, may I put your post as a quote in the OP? I feel it really needs to be said.Originally Posted by DoctorMcBatman Go to original post
