    I didn't like the way gear stats we're transitioned to perks. However, my biggest issue with perks is that they need more options that are somewhat useful and allow for a little more customization. They also need a reason to upgrade gear...or just make max gear score 160 (as I can get 3 perks unlocked at 160 without ever upgrading or refining the gear)

    I was all for gear rework, was actually excited

    What I wasn't for was having something with hundreds of hours invested in it essentially deleted with no way to transition my old into the new, particularly given I had 3 full loadouts on about 4 heros I'd spent money on upgrading/changing ascetics.

    Furthermore (and heres the real kicker) - these changes were essentially a reversal of the gains/promises of the champion status sold at & post release - exp gains to get gear, the upgrades to that gear, the steel invested steel etc. that actually were a selling point (i.e. promoted to sell ingame currency/passes) - were in effect reset with no money back.

    To players who think this was about 'gear making me OP' - most the anger isnt at the changes, it was at the lack of any transition for something you worked 100's of hours on & in many cases spent real money on.

    Imagine if you bought marching fire, only to have the new heros locked once your season pass ended & their gear reset... then you'd be getting the level of legitimate anger this caused in people
    - just earn them again with steel right?

    This goes beyond balance in a game and into the market ethics of a company - which in this instance are utterly disgraceful. I've followed ubi since I was a kid as a benchmark for the games I wanted for my Birthday (prince of persia trilogy, splintercell, assassins creed etc.). Since this gear change i've purchased around 5 full price games + season passes, ingame currency and the like. Non have been, nor will be, Ubisoft. This to me was worse than the battlefront lootcrate debacle, at least there they didnt make you buy the items, change them & then introduce the loot crate system for you to earn them all back again

    Here is the fix that needs to be implemented to fix perks/gear.

    I have 120,000+ salvage waiting for them to do something!

    They are trying to improve a few perks but no one will grind through, to try them out, to hate them...

    Devs, please implement this:

    Has this issue ever been remedied or even discussed? I was a daily , day one player who quit after the perk system was applied. And not right away, only after days of confusion trying to figure it out the perks and the realization that the 900 hours I spent on the game upgrading my characters to my play style, was gone with nothing to show.

    I know the feeling. When I heard new perks were coming, I filled my mains inventory with gear so I could experiment only to find that none of the gear had the right combinations if perks to experiment at all... Had to salvage it all and start from scratch. I still see 180 full refined players with no perks. Although they are alot less frequent now, probably due to quitting.

    Thanks for the toxic response that offers nothing constructive or helpful to the thread. These posts aren't welcome here.

    Nothings been done because it was an intentional, well understood decision to reset the game to encourage new players along with squeeze more money out of existing players

    5 months later and... I won't repeat myself in full other than to state it was an business practice I found highly unethical & shattered my faith in Ubi as a whole, consumer was put last in the equation so I just stopped consuming...

    @Jastorm187 - don't feed the troll

    Yep, exactly, and it wasn't the first time they did this either. That's why I never bought steel for money in this game and never spent any steel on upgrading gear until it was possible to max it out. I'm sure they will change the gear system again.
