I know nobody cares about what class a hero is, but with the current mechanics, it's clear they should swap these two. The conqueror is a mobile hero with good defense and straight forward offense, the most similar hero is probably the valkyrie. The conq is a total hybrid, all three a little. Meanwhile, the lawbringer is more like a heavy: slow, hits hard (though his first heavies are jokes, the orochi butter knife has better numbers), relies purely on defense (unlike vanguards, he doesn't feel like a vanguard hybrid). He also has the healthpool of a heavy.
With this change, heavies could be adressed as a class, as they have some of the weakest heroes (along with the predictable raider and the overnerfed peacekeeper). Their general problem is that their offense is not threatening because they are free parries, and they are extremely vulnerable against the bash meta.
What makes him more vanguard-like is his range and combo variety, at least that's what I felt.Originally Posted by RolandVermund Go to original post
The lawbringer has one of the most predictable chain variations. Basically light after heavy, heavy after light, all three parts. The current conqueror has an infinite chain, the only restriction is he can't throw two lights from the same direction. I think range isn't a factor, conqueror's range and mobility is about the same as other heavy hybrids, while the shugoki range is similar to lawbringer's. Their role also changed: the conqueror is like an aramusha or valkyrie in role, pressing forward with great mobility and various mixups while having multiple defensive options (while his damage is not high, his hardest hit is 44, his avarege numbers are around 30). The lawbringer is slow with lots of health, good defense (best parry punishes), and higher damage (between shugoki and warlord). He has the same weaknesses: low mobility, slow offense with no openers, predictable moveset with lack of mixups, and no real defense against bash attacks.
