Trying to figure out the new gear...

Okay so each piece of gear has two abilities now. Got that.

But each piece of gear can have the SAME abilities....Do I make those abilities more powerful by using gear that all has the same ones? Or is it capped at one and therefore wasted and I should spread the abilities out so I get more?

Also some of my gear has two grey triangles on the item level box. What is that?

Seriously though, some people will be able to explain it.

Stack gear until a perk reaches 600 points. If it has 600 points it becomes active. You can combine 2-3 perks in your load out depending on what perk it is.

You need 600 points in a perk in order to unlock it, you get no bonuses for having more than 600 points.

In terms of combinations, at teal gear, you can get either

Three of the four grey and blue perks
    Or
Two of those and one of the purple to teal perks
    Or
Two of the purple to teal perks.

Okay, seriously though. What's with the two grey triangles on some of my gear? Is that good or bad?

Am I crazy or perks are unbalanced? For instance, Valk only can be equipped with assist perks?
