Playing Orochi right now feels like you would put a hero from FH1 to FH2
He has nothing, he had nothing, but now it feels even more. I'm nearly 50 rep Orochi main, played him from day one, been with him trought all his struggles, nerfs, played him in times when meeting another Orochi in duel was fkin miracle, and I'm playing him now while he is still **** on higher elo yet keep called broken due to one delayed 12 dmg light (xd).
Pretty much bought that game for Orochi, always beein in love with fedual Japan yet never watched anime. I would propably never buy this game after open beta tests if there would be no Orochi or any other classical Samurai fighter with katana. But back in a day he was fun, everybody tried to use their whole kit or just fight with attacks, not parries.
But nevermind. Now. Now he is just ****. Everything went just like I was saying all the time to my friends -> whenever S8 will drop, all reworks will drop - Orochi will slide to the place where he has been, abandoned with 0 mechanics while every other champ will have ****load of them. And I'm not even talking about UB's or opener. He has no single softfeint, no single stun, bleed - nothing. His base stamina is total ****, he is capable to do two heavy feints and light to be out of it while he has no other options in his kit but attacks and feints. Maybe at least boost his stam to the one of the highest pool in the game?
You just spammed every **** mechanic that you could on Wu Lin champs, every rework brings more and more options to the champs, while the only significant change to Orochi was his SR, but every average player counters it with light or holding guard to the left, being able to easily counter other two options.
Playing Orochi in Breach Mode is just a unfunny joke. Four, yes, four lights to kill a minion. Three minion kills takes full stamina. Fighting reworked champs plus Wu Lin champs is just annoying ****, can't call it in other manner. You need to watch out for milion things esspecially if it comes to Wu Lins while they just keep blocking, performing their broken softfeintable, UBable **** chains with stances, cancels and so on.
If it's true that you was working on Marchin Fire all the time and you reworked Orochi in that way, KNOWING what's coming then you are just unable to balance this game at any stage, ever. You just don't know your game or you have some vision which totaly does not fit this game at this stage. Or both.
And no. I'm not going to play another champ. It's not a solution. I want to play Orochi and do not feel on every step that I have to deal with ****load of **** in this game while having nothing in trade.
I think it is perfect time to get rid of my game. None of my friends which bought the game along with me plays this game anymore (mostly due to fighting issues like 5 season lasting parry meta and balancing). It's the era of new players which will buy this game on current state and they will never know how the game was looking and what was the expectations and era of post-rework Warden players which keeps thinking that Warden is still an OG by any means, cos they can't get it or they do not want to get it that he is one of the easiest and noobest, totaly safest with his current kit.
I know, Orochi always was hated. Like, he was hated back in the day before the rework due to poor kit and usage of two moves, top lights and zones, and now he is hated as well. Community just gave to Orochi a sticker of weeb-only champ, hating him no matter what. But still - if you are balancing and changing the game due to this sub and you gave him rework like that while on the other side you gave to Warden rework like this just do not try to mark things out and stop saying that it was mentioned to leave Orochi like that and he is okay. Just delate him from the game, state that he was not fitting and it's done. Say what you want but I'm telling you right now - Shugoki will get rework which will put him in S tier right away. Why? Cos of reddit affection to Shugoki struggle. Nobody was posting **** like that before the Orochi rework, while he is and he was one of the top played champs in the game along with Warden. Warden was in the way more better spot before the rework than pre-rework Orochi. Warden was way higher in win rate than Orochi. His kit had more options. He was not super good but totaly better than Orochi. So if there would be any logic behind the reworks, not the community statements - how the fk Orochi got rework like that? He jus need freaking rework once again, no doubt. And we talking bout major rework, total kit revamp. New moves, mechanics.
BTW, now all of you are whining bout his light spam, but hold on for a minute. Please, point me ONE thread of Orochi rework proposal, ONE thread where some of the Orochi mains suggested to just speed Orochi up and we done. Show. Me. One.
All of us was asking for normal rework, hyped after seeing Kensei rework, hoping to get something similar in viability.
Here is my thread posted a few moments after Warrior's Den stream, revealing Orochi rework. Tell me where was I wrong. I'm not wrong right now as well. The Devs just simply said and they are keep saying **** you to Orochi players, being busy to read knight factions players whinings on subreddit and watching same memes from 8 seasons.
