Why can't I turn rain off | Forums

Rain has always been a problem hurting my frames and making playing in rainy maps annoying

but now it feels unplayable

Right now all I can do is quit a match if I get put into a rainy map... but I get punished for it, so I'm forced to play and actually be less useful then a bot.

My frames will sometime drop from my average of 55 to 15

It got so much worse and I can't stop it

Rain adds nothing to the game and just makes it so rigs that just meet the requirements to play are getting a frame drop.

My Graphics card is good its just my CPU that is on the Meets requirements line

Either fix rainy maps, remove them, or let us turn off rain. Right now its too much

I agree. I would like to turn rain off as well.

It would be a nice option to turn it off, for your problem specifically, not to remove it entirely. The rain maps are my favourite

I can understand why some people like them, and that's part of the reason I mostly want them to let me turn it off but if they can't, then removing them might be the best option.

I did two Custom matches with only bots
both on the shard
One Rainy: 60-50 frames lowest seen 47
One Sunny: 60-50 frames lowest seen 47

not quite as good as 60-55 sunny before
but the drops to 50 didn't even feel that bad everything felt smooth.

oddly enough they were the same.
Will continue to update if I notice something while playing with people.

EDIT:
When playing with people on the breach map in the rain, The walled city (Japanese map) 50-40 was my average but it still didn't feel to bad... just sometimes hard to react to attacks.

Played on the Viking map during night 50-40 frames

looks like you guys fixed the issue that i didn't think was fixable... Well played good people.
