The fact is, well made modern day suppressors still make regular ammo shots pretty quite. I've also seen a video a former military sniper and long range shooting champion made that demonstrated a suppressed shot was able to achieve 100 yards longer range on shots over 1300 yards. This was due to the bullet without the suppressor dropping to subsonic speed at a certain point and tumbling.
My point is, subsonic ammo is practically irrelevant with the advent of well made modern suppressors. They are made shorter and lighter all the time, yet still suppress more effectively.
