Hey thanks Zubi — I would really appreciate that...Originally Posted by Ubi-Zubi Go to original post
I would love to see this stuff in the game.
Regarding your question — Both !
To clarify as I’ve stated above, I’m mainly taking about the message board missions... which I believe are randomly generated to some degree?
If some of the elements and utilising some of the mechanics I’ve highlighted could be included into the equation for generating these missions — it would be great.
I think the actual yellow marked side missions are pretty decent overall.
But hardly any rescue missions...? Like the ones I’ve described above.
Like I’ve said the mechanics are in the game and could be used to add some depth and variety to the message board quests.
Got it! Thanks for clarifying this for me.Originally Posted by LaMOi Go to original post

Please try and nudge the dev team to maybe implement this stuff — because every time I move to a new province, the message bored quests, the random NPC quests, they are just the repeat of what you’ve done in the previous provinces. It gets repetitive.
But with these tweaks and additions, even a simple bounty quest could become much more involved and fun !
I personally don't find the side quests too repetitive... I've killed a lot of people, but I'm a mercenary, that's what I get paid to do.
What I don't want is for the side quests to start making me feel like a skivvy and general dogs body to everyone... I'm a warrior, not a 'go fetcher'.
I understand where the OP is coming from, but if they do introduce some other side quest stuff, I don't want it to be mundane stuff that people could do themselves but are too lazy.... I mean I got set to turn on a pipe to flood a baths to get rid of snakes ffs..... the goon could have walked over to the pipe himself and done that.
Having bounty’s be like I’ve described tho — that you get more money if you bring back the body, or even more coin if you bring back some bounties alive — so you can just knock them out, and put them over your horse and take them back to town...
Like I’ve said it would be cool to see a few more rescue missions, where you have to bring back folks on your horse, maybe sometimes they are wounded etc... Like there were in Origins...
It’s really immersive and would add variety, but utilise the mechanic in the game.
Similar to Red Dead Redemption.
Its great I can carry people/bodies on my horse, but so far I haven’t needed to do it once in Odyssey.
It just seems like a waste. And using these mechanics could make some of these generic quests more interesting.
Yeah I agree, the message board quests are mostly boring and dull, I always say no to them haha. "But I pay well!" Hmm. Nah thanks
But, some of the side quests (secundary missions) turned out to be really good. I started one and it consisted of 4-5 missions with a good story and another region you had to go to, which I didnt expect.
I hear you...
Some of them are pretty decent, but there’s actually not that many of them when you tally up most regions — also some regions literally have no proper side quests.
In fact some regions are largely empty.
One does wonder whether they just didn’t have enough time to fill this massive world with (meaningful) content ...
This is where making some of the randomly generated side quests a little more interesting would have a massive pay off... and it would be so easy to include some of the features I’ve talked about using the mechanics already in the game to build a slightly more involved quest.
Cmon Ubisoft !
This is an awesome game — seems a shame to not tweak this for significant positive results ?
Even if they implemented with every bounty, ‘confirming the kill’ — if you bring the targets body back as proof of the kill you get more money...
Even if that alone was added — it would make such a difference.
Because the reality is, that you have to do these missions in order to progress, you cannot play the game and never have to engage with these missions....
And currently they are super generic and repetitive, and it has a negative impact on the overall experience of the game.
IF someone wants to play this game for years to come..... The only way to keep the game interesting is to have some kind of auto-generated quests (thousands of them) but they must be interesting, ergo A.I. should make sure these side quests are different from each other to a certain degree, in order to avoid repetition. Or maybe the game could utilize some elements from FIFA or Sims 4, to give you the authority to manage ancient Greek cities, financially, socially etc. etc.
