I’m talking mainly about the message board quests.
They need greater variety period!
So many are simply GO KILL X....
Where are the RESCUE missions of Origins? Where you have to bring back someone wounded on your horse?
And not the rescue missions where they just run off — there annoying!
Also I was thinking that when you do a Bounty - ‘confirm a kill’ — why not have it, that if you bring back the body to the quest giver you get a bigger reward? Similar to Red Dead Redemption.
You could have capture missions where you get more reward if you can capture the target alive and bring him back to town.
Something like —
— Dead / 200 gold
— Dead but body brought back for proof / 400 gold
— Captured Alive / 600 gold
I mean all the mechanics are there - you can knock people out, you can carry people and put them on your horse....
These would be a way of adding variety but also for a little extra leg work you could get a greater reward!
This game has some great mechanics that sadly are kind of squandered..
I don’t think it would be that difficult to actually implement the above suggestions.......

It can still be a grind but if they included some of what I suggested it would make them that much more involved...
Even as simple as bringing back a dead body (bounty) to prove the kill or a knocked out bounty for a greater reward...
And to include some rescue missions.
It would be so simple to implement these gameplay tweaks...
As to your question — there are so basic decisions like “a message needs delivering to a general, there’s bandits in the road” — you have the choice to deliver the message or kill the bandits for example. Nothing major.
They’re OK. But could be so much more fun.
