That's what I was called while playing last stand by an opponent tonight. Next game he was on my team and still ranting about my deadeye build ! I told him he shouldn't judge, running around with his pred 10 shot death bleeder. Don't think he liked I'd downed him a few times, even less so when I facetanked him with my house after he had another dig at me, and left him in a heap 😂 am I pathetic ?
Every builds got strengths and weaknesses. That's why mines a deadeye/banshee ninja build. Still a glass cannon though. What build do you mostly use merphee ?Originally Posted by Merphee Go to original post
Yes, each build has its bonuses. I heard a Pred player say the same about Nomads in DZ. Three groups including Preds, D3, Alpha Bridge etc against one rogue team with two Nomads, but the Nomads are pathetic, because of their second life? Why is it pathtic to use DeadEye or Nomad, but not Pred? As mentioned before, there are always complaints. Which set should I wear so that nobody calls me pathetic?

A constant over heal, a free life + 60% damage resistance upon death all by simply having the pieces equipped. Cheap. There is no requirement of the player to do anything in order for those things to proc. And that's just it, you have to die in order to get the second life. The fight is technically over and you should be dead. Have you ever played Modern Warfare 2? If so, remember Last Stand? Besides One Man Army, it was one of the most controversial aspects of the the game because it gave the Last Stand player a second chance.Originally Posted by rosch15 Go to original post
Pred is null because of Adrenaline and if you proc Adrenaline and still die to a Pred, you likely lost to 7k-8k firearms. I'm never angry when I die to Pred because if I do die to it, then I'm the one who sucks. Now, bring back Nomad into the equation and refer to the first sentence above.
Deadeye is 100% crit chance on the strongest weapon category in the game. Listen to that, 100% chance to do 120%+ bonus damage on a weapon with over 100k base damage in a game where the average health pool is around 300k+. Course, you have to be in cover, and this is after the fact. There was a point in time where you did not need cover. Compare it to Hunter's Faith. One requires a lot more procs to the most damage that it can over the other and that's probably why it's not seen as much right now.
100% crit chance and Nomad are the last amount of cheapness in the game, imo.
I have absolutely no issue with Pred players, my second character has a Pred and I use it sometimes, but not often - it is too easy to counter - (Medkit, immunizer, energy bar....) I only mentioned it since it was a Pred player who complained about Nomads. Nomad has its over-heal and second life every 4 min, Pred has Bleed + Damage increase of AR + SMG, D3 has its powerful shield, AB has health regen and all three links after a kill etc, In my view, Nomad is not more pathetic than the other favourite gear sets? I rarely play Dead Eye, but as far as I remeber, the high CC is limited to zoomed marksman rifles, isn't it? No that easy to handle.
I'm currently at LV 8. What builds would you recommend I look into acquiring?Originally Posted by Spectacular72 Go to original post
Alpha Bridge requires a kill and only gives its next opponent a problem if they are approached within the time window. The advantage of the free talent is niche at best, imo, but its an advantage not really worth complaining over.
Same with D3. D3 isn't something to be labeled pathetic. Its lack of damage doesn't make it worrisome and it's not something you should ever approach in a 1v1 because you will be out-sustained. The advantage of D3 in that scenario just makes sense to me, so there's no problem there.
Now let's approach Nomad: should I expect to win a 1v1 against it? Well. My odds are pretty even. We're both hovering around the same health and damage. Got multiple procs ready. Sweet, I just won the fi-.. oh wait, nevermind. My opponent got revived and put back to full health, gets a damage resistance buff I could only get a third of solo with Smart Cover, my med kit and heal is on cool down, I'm in my last segment of health, and I have to relo-.. I'm dead.
1.8 Deadeye is not the same as 1.6 Deadeye, but it's still cheap to me. A free 100% crit chance that other builds can only get 60% of temporarily through multiple procs. Come on.
Well first you got to get to level 30.Originally Posted by UbiSc0ttie Go to original post![]()
Deadeye is the easiest set for any player without much skill to use. However, it does take a very good player to have a higher K/D with the set. I use It and I have gone between 7-3 and 18-0 in many skirmish matches. I have never allowed a dead eye to do that to me however. If you are getting ripped by a deadeye, you are playing poorly plain and simple. Deadeyes quit or change gear when they play me because I know how to counter them and what areas to avoid if they are around. Most players however do not learn, Randy just keeps going the same way over and over.
Nomad is a pretty fair set when it is in a group, I think EMP should stop the healing and 50% proc chance however. The solo nomad is when it becomes too ridiculous, that thing procs more often than the 75% lonestar buff. Designed for farmers, exploited by multi grouping solo sprinters in the DZ. Just annoying to no end....
Pred is not even something I worry about anymore, I know how to counter it. I can also still melt players with it. Yes the bleed is dangerous, yet I usually die faster to an AB or FA nomad than i do to a stamina pred.
D3 is a great set, if you don't know how to fight them effectively then learn. They are tough and that shield is strong but unless they are using the FA glitch they take forever to kill you. If they are using it all you need to do is keep chipping away at the shield because once it is gone they can't get it back. Or just snipe the feet...... Or just run a skill build.....
Most players know one style of PVP and that is the face tank dance. If you play outside of those rules, as I do. You are going to get hate mail and be called a noob, scrub, cheater, trash, etc. I send back an lol checkpoint each time and carry on with my day. If I really pissed someone off and they challenge me to a 1v1 face tank I put on my D3 and piss them off even more. I don't care if you get mad only that I have fun with the game I bought. I don't rage at others, if you killed me I make it a point to find you again and try to learn what I did wrong. Eventually they stop winning. No need to be toxic to some random person, even if they are using cronus. Just report and move on you sweaty try hards![]()
