Yeah but AC wasn't a full RPG then. It was more or less the same from beginning to end. Whereas with Odyssey, you can potentially spend less than half the game feeling a rewarding sense of progression before it comes to a halt. It's not a satisfying feeling when the experience changes that much in the same game.Ezio didn't have a level cap...y'all remember him right? You earned no xp and people never got sick of playing
I am here again. I did absolutely everything. 100%. The map is cleared.
In total, I get 20 million experience!!! I missed absolutely all quests with timing. With them, 5m more would come I guess.
So to get 50lvl, u must get 10m XP, right ? Based on this, I declare with 100% certainty that you need to raise the maximum level to 100! Without exception!
Now let's look at the number of resources that I collected for all the time (while cleaning the map):
200к gold, 15k leather, 22k stone, 22k wood, 71 nameplates (for what ?!), 10k and 7k for engravings (idk exactly how it is called in English, but you understand)
Oversupply and missing XP is huge here. I want to make an important note: I bought Deluxe edition and did not buy boosts\maps or something else in Store.
In my opinion, boost XP breaks the system and makes the walkthrough worse because of the level cap.
I hope Ubisoft will see this post
Feeling like I was a free beta tester…![]()
The level cap is fine. This game already has a bad reputation of being grindy. It doesn't need to go proving that point. What some of you are trying to do is balance the game around a completionist playstyle, but not everyone likes to play that way. Forcing everyone to go out of their way to clear every single camp on the map and do every single one of those boring repeatable sidequests just to level up is just going to make the game tedious and boring.
Besides, increasing level cap is only a temporary fix. People are just going to come on this forum again and complain once they reach the new level cap. What the game needs is a long term incentive to keep everyone playing. Like some people have already suggested, giving some sort of reward whenever you continue to level up at max level is the best compromise to appease both casual and hardcore players. And not to mention, it would fit in well with "new game plus" when they eventually implement it.
Big problem here is some are treating this game as if it were a mmo, it is not. I hit the level cap awhile back to so what? Still numerous things not completed like side missions those little tablet puzzle things alpha ships to be sunk etc. Also you still do xp when you hit the cap it actually shows you how much you get, so technically you do get it...sounds like y'all want to be level 2000k or have prestige mode. Just enjoy the game it's pretty fun
Okay I haven't read through all the replies since my last so someone else may have mentioned this, but I'm getting ability points after 50. The bar isn't filling but I will see the +1 at times and have a new ability point as I complete quests and areas. And the game doesn't announce it. But I just reset my ability points to count them and I have 65 so far and I know some of those came after hitting 50.
How are you playing? Project Stream?Originally Posted by TaleraRis Go to original post
No idea what that is. I play on XBox One.Originally Posted by MnemonicSyntax Go to original post
Are you sure it's not just the points you gain from doing tombs and finding the ancient steles sometimes?
Doing those specific map areas will give you 1 ability point each.
My guess is that currently there's somewhere between 72 and 75 skill points available. I'm at 71 right now with 2 zones left to clear (Sparta and the area left of that are yet to clear), the rest is fully done.
It's possible. I'm paying more attention to it now.Originally Posted by JesseTheInsane Go to original post
I got exactly 71. The whole map is cleared.Originally Posted by JesseTheInsane Go to original post
Provided that each skill can be increased to level 3, you have exactly 2 points left. They did not even think about this moment. Interesting fact: the ability points are exactly the same as the extra nameplates - 71.
