I really like the idea of a light attack after any parry and the guardbreak, it would completely change the flow of the game.Originally Posted by Gemoroda Go to original post
And put an end to Warden unblockable, feint, gb, heavy
It'd completely reset the leader board, too many so called "top level" players are only able to compete through exploits, remove all free damage and you'll see who the real top level players are, it'll help end turtling an it'll deny guardbreak cucks any form of a win as they simply wouldn't be able to play the game
Absolutely agree.Originally Posted by Gemoroda Go to original post
Current GB mechanics make it most broken move in the game. Everyone just keeps canceling everything just so they can get free GB plus heavy. I feel so stupid when Shaman just puts hand on me and suddenly I can't move and I get hit by heavy. That move is completely out of the place if you ask me.
GB should give heavy only if you hit the wall of fall down.
I hope this suggestions get to the developers team.
Landing a guardbreak is not that easy tho. Well, at least against the players I fight. It's very rare that my opponents or myself get guardbroken, because you can simply counter guardbreak unless you are in the middle of a dodge. Or, unless you happen to be someone with 1000ms heavy, your guardbreak window is not that large. Feinting your heavy also allows you to counter guardbreak if you know your opponent will try for it. You don't get much damage off a guardbreak though, it's around 25-30 damage depending on your character if there are no walls around. Personally, I think they're fine. If you have problems with somebody guardbreaking you, you can counter guardbreak, you can send out some light attacks, or you can roll away from them.
Guardbreaks are fine as is, just need to learn how to counter them
I'm sorry dude but it's just a cheesy way to play the game and it rips the fun out of the combat, you forget about how toxic the player base of this game is and how most will do ANYTHING for a win to the point where a large number of players abuse this low risk, easy win system by simply not reacting with anything but gaurd breaks where a free no risk heavy can be thrown and it's caused a trend amoungst players which results in a fighting game where no one actually fights and it's just sad, I know it's easily countered and I've no problem dealing with it but that's not how the game is meant to be played and it ruins it for those of us who want to enjoy the combat system in full, itd make the game 1000 times better if free heavies from GB weren't in it, it'd force people to fight as the game originally indented,
It's actually, again, pretty risky to throw a guardbreak all the time. Opponents can just light attack out of it, and there are quite a few heavies in the game that will make a guardbreak bounce off. If you successfully counter guardbreak you can also backdodge safely out of any followup guardbreak attempts (even while OOS).Originally Posted by Legendarydanish Go to original post
You're missing the point, it's a feature that is heavily abused by the community in a way that sucks the main purpose from the game where it's no longer fun to play PvP as a result of people only trying to land Guardbreaks, just because it's counterable doesn't stop it from being a never ending issue in every game and it certainly doesn't stop it from ruining the experience for those who like for honor for the combat and not the easy win exploits, I'm on about making the game more about the combat rather than just the win as its the combat that gives this game substance and it's wasted while this plague continues, it's anti climatic, it's boring to fight and it shows that you're more interested in winning than enjoying the game for what it is, a medieval FIGHTING! simulater
