The way the game is at the moment is truly shocking, your standard Mach consists of players who only use X,RT,X,RT,X,RT and that's it, the moment they gave all heros a free hit from a GB they premoted to the turtle meta worse than ever before, it sucks the life out of the game and it's now no longer fun to engage people in combat as you're going to get spammed to death or very bored and that's how it is for players who aren't scumbags, there's no point in reworking anyone's move set while this blatant exploit is still in play as it makes the combat system completely redundant
It's not hard at all to land a GB and the risk is minimal for the reward and it premotes the worst type of playing, it requires no skill and is just awful to the point that you're wandering why they're even playing this game as they're clearly not in it for the fun aspect of it, if you can say that the game is currently fine with 90% of the player base not actually using the combat system then you're part of the problem, also for you to say there's no point to attempt a GB without a free heavy just goes to show how bad the situation is that the idea of using a GB to set up and attack with a wall splat or area control is lost to you
Well, it is kind of hard because you wont land GB from neutral ever, not against and experienced player at least. You have to play mind games in order to bait your opponent to parry or dodge if you want to land one.
You can't just remove the point of having GB in the game, it would be like saying "remove the dodge".
Exactly and why are all samurai classes OP compared to knights and vikings. Specifically speaking about Orochi, Aramusha, and Kensei. Orochi's heavy attack is as fast as many of the characters in this game light attacks. All orochi players have to do is spam lights and heavies and sidestep slash attacks, incredibly easy win.
One of my characters I use is gladiator and literally Orochi heavy attack is as fast as my light attack. Also Orochi can litterally spam attack me in between any of my light attacks. Any specific move or if I sidedash attack Orochi can still attack inbetween any of my attacks.
The point of the gaurd break isn't the free heavy, it's to set up an attack by controlling the area hence why not every hero had it to begin with as it wasn't meant to be part of the game, its cancerous players that brought this exploit into fruition by exploit hunting like when they found you could do a plunging attack from a guardbreak or the unlock tech, the only difference with the free heavy is that Ubisoft and the lack of wisdom they have decided it should stay, you can't tell me that it's fine and not be part of the problem
Lack of perspective... i totally agree. Remove heavy after gb (onli a light attack) for those that say gb is hard to pull of and mindgames... no its not. Its easy. Especially for a hero with unblockable. For those that say "whats the point of gb of you have no heavy after?", well...
1 ledge
2 removing an enemy from a crouded place
3 GETTING A FREE HEAVY IF YOU ARE NEAR A WALL
4 in a group fight, a gb cand push an enemy into another enemy saving you from a hit and unballancing both of them... so yea... people. Learn the f-ing game.
