I think the best way to do it, would be, after you selected your character's appearance and loadout, you could then hit a "Apply to All" button to have all three AI outfitted the exact same way. Similar to how they did it in the old Rainbow Six games. Then, if you want, you can go in and modify each character separately, to give them their own unique look, while still looking like part of a team.

I think that’s a great way for setting them up. But for switching between different set ups, you need to be able to select outfit 1 for the whole team at once. Then when you want switch them all to outfit two and son on.

I think I understand what you are saying. So not only should we be able to have our team automatically equip the same clothing and gear as us, but we should be able to switch the entire teams' special outfits as well, to correspond to the one we choose, instead of having to manually switch each one.

Anyway, if that's how you meant it, I totally agree. It would offer the best of variety and speed of application. The only thing after that is deciding whether you can choose such things anywhere, or only at safehouses. For the sake of realism, many might prefer the latter. It would be strange to imagine an entire squad of elite soldiers randomly changing their clothes in the middle of nowhere.
