How do you mute another PvP team player on the PC platform? This solution from one year ago does not seem to work currently.

PvP is tolerable, even occasionally enjoyable. But one bad apple quickly ruins an evening. I want to be able to hear enemy footsteps rather than some open mic background TV show or an upset corpse berating others' efforts.

If you want to mute an individual player you need to hit tab and "toggle scoreboard", then you can mouse over an individual and mute them. You must be alive for this, it doesn't work while observing.

You can mute everyone by turning down "squad volume" in audio settings.

This is madness. Any obstacle to muting other players in PvP is guaranteed to force people to quit playing. There are so many All Stars who die in the first 30 seconds and then spend the rest of the round begging for revives and critiquing other players that it is necessary to be able to mute other players at any time.

Ah, as someone in the other thread said you can still get the scoreboard and mute individuals, you just have to do it by pressing tab from the esc menu instead of from the teammate spectating view directly.

Pretty weird to have to hit an extra key, but at least it works.

Had that exact thing yesterday, young kid and his friends would get dropped within first minute after sniping battle and immediately asked i drop everything i was doing to cross the map and revive him..
He graded my performance "decent" but said we would have won faster had i gone to revive him

Can't you guys choose to play with mature or adult people or is it mostly 8 to 12 year old kids playing PvP...
