I also think all the AR-platform weapons should be able to use both the STANAG and PMAG magazines, not just one or the other. Let the 416s also use STANAGs and let the M4A1 use the PMAGs. There’s literally no reason for this to not be a thing.
I'd prefer it as well if all STANAG magwells could accept all three kinds of STANAG mags present in the game---GI, E (from the G36), and P---but they probably won't do it because they'd have to rework weaponsmith significantly.

Weaponsmith misnames GI mags as "STANAG", but the entire point of STANAG is that it's literally just an interface form factor that all these 5.56x45 mags follow allowing them to be used interchangeably in all of these rifles. Ubi have repurposed the term to mean only one kind of 5.56 magazine and then blocked us from using the others on many weapons. Kinda ironic, huh.

As I've lamented before so many things about magazines are inaccurate or broken in this game, and Ubi have never committed to fixing any of them except for the egregious LVOA issue. Rip.
