Excellent points... one thing you mention is exactly what I did, spammed the buttons & even tho combat was more difficult than previous games, Origins was easier becuz of this.Originally Posted by Clevski Go to original post
I played OD's intro twice so I could focus on learning my button basics and I'm doing better than I normally would if I was trying to spam my controller.
This is just different - it takes a little time to settle into the changes.
Odyssey is nowhere close to being called "garbage". It's an amazing RPG, with flaws, yes, but flaws (enemy level scaling and material costs) can be fixed via patches. Attacking the overall game is a moot argument, because it's still a good game. Iron out the flaws and it will be a great game. Also, more legendary armor sets for Hunters pls <3
Wooow, take it easy... just a hater i guess. Lol
I choose for combat now, but stealth is perfect possible.. although maybe a bit more difficult. If you can't handle the game level, lower the difficulty settings to normal.
Performance is great, I play at maximum settings with a gtx1060 6GB and a I5 3570.
The TW series and TES series were always the best, for now AC Odyssey is the overwhelming winner.
If games or series get messed up, I'm the first one to complain.
But on Odyssey you can't complain a thing
The world they created looks so nice i wanna stay there![]()
OP I been there done that I agree. Believe me after trying to convince them for 10 days I got no where, I mean you can try but everything you can think of I already said. Give the game 2 months to see if they actually fix things, I seen UB attempt to fix stuff this week. We will have discussion in November 20 just before Steam Sales. If things are not fixed by then- UB sales will take a hit. Enough said for now

Well i dont have problem with stealth, but with stealth assassination, where over half enemy not die after assassination and even with critical upgrade, i am lv 21 with over 12k in assassin dmg and yet have problem to kill them... and in combat i have even more problem, because i wanted to play primary stealth so my skills are primary there....
And why we need 1 stamina bar for critical assassination? This skills just make more mess with one button where you need to "hold it" and with deadbody near its realy bad....
And Bow dmg is wierd too, even with full hunter dmg set i cant kill enemy with headshot (or most of them)...
And time window for "perfect" dodge is way too fast with some npc....
I like this idea of challenge, but for "normal" its wierd and with always active enemy scale... well for me this dont feel good...
In Origins this enemy scale was way better...
Stealth is a matter of practice just like any other tactic in the game. Like not everybody is made to be good at combat, not everybody is good at stealth. There are 2 basic ways to do it - 1. scout the area out and plan how to get in and out without to be seen and stick to it - 2. have a basic idea what is where, without to scout it out in detail, slip in and make quick decisions how to progress based on incomplete information.Originally Posted by ProdiGurl Go to original post
The first way is following the plan and good for people, who have a hard time to make quick decisions "on the fly" based on incomplete information. If the plan is good, it doesn't require skill, it can be done by pretty much everyone. The second way is for skilled stealth players only, because it requires that you decide and act very quickly out of the moment - and most people have a problem with making quick decision especially if they lack a big part of the information. Most of the time the first way is how people begin, then they might run into problems, because their plan isn't good, and fail, because they aren't able to make good decisions quickly enough and out of the moment.
The free flowing, 2nd method seems to be favored by game design, which makes "planned" stealth much harder to do. IMO the free flowing version of stealth feels better than ever before. This is why a lot do not like it - to be successful it requires much more quick and still good decisions based on intuition basically. And intuition comes from practice. The more you do it, the better you get at it. So don't give up on stealth, it is still fun, but you have to do it a little more fluent, quick witted and eventually a little risky sometimes - but how much risk it is depends on how much you practice it. Keep trying.
Yes Lysette you are correct but thats not what we fans wanted. Assassinations are not about running and stabbing like in dishonored. if we wanted that we would play dishonored 2. We want calculated stealth like with Unity (after its patches). No we do not want to upgrade a over rated pointy stick- and then stab said stick into a guards neck.
I would prefer if UB gave us a butter knife over a spear. Common on a spear for stabbing that is ludicrous. Lets put cart before the horse. I feel that not enough people are troubled by this.
SPEARS are thrown. They are large clunky and terrible for stabbing with. I do fencing irl- try aiming that thing at a precise point. YA good luck it wont work rofl. Spears are impact damage used to pierce shields from large distances. It being broken makes no sense if it is so powerful .... thats for another thread
