Got lucky in the last GE and got my 6pc on the last case.lol.Been on youtube with the usual suspects. They mostly go with 7k FA 5k Sta 3 ele.I love the shared talents on the same weapon thing and the health regen.Im mostly PVE but do the DZ for the dailys and weeklys.Since you guys/gals have run alot of sets,Which whay did you build alpha?
I have pred -nomad-df3 maxed out and ready. But i enjoy building a new set after you finally get it.
So my 2 questions are this:How are you running it as far as the different pieces of gear and mods?
What do you like and dislike about it?What skills work best like the box turrent ect??
Thanks everyone as usual.
I run Alpha with 9k firearms, stamina and electronics are accordingly low. I use healing box and Flashbang and critical hit chance mods. I use it only in PVE, for exmple in UG. There are many purple NPCs with short time-to-kill and your Signature Skills pop up constantly. It is really fun with Alpha to play solo UG. In legendaries with all the bullet sponges and team, I prefer other sets. Here, I want to be able to share the green link with my team and vice versa.
I have tried a few AB builds and I can say I hate 9K FA builds and the 5-5-5 build the full set wants you to run is awful.... I am seriously confused why that is even a thing. The whole point of the 4pc was to allow you to unlock the talents without the investment in stats. Yet the 6pc wants me to balance everything? Anyway I actually prefer the 5pc in 6-6-3 with other gloves or chest. I use it mainly for PvP and I have had some great results. I actually don't even use the house with my build, tried it but prefer another.
This seems to be a very interesting topic being how undervalued AB can be presented as either a solo or group build. I have been playing around with this build since 1.6 and with over six different variances from high FA, high STAM, and everything in-between. What I have I found that 5.2, 5.6, 5.1 (i.e 5-5-5) is the best outcome due to the maximum 10 second timers on the self proc. Like every other classified set, the devs created this set to maximize on the self-signature proc timer. I find myself zipping through yellow and purple mobs, along with DZ farming. Its also worth mentioning that wit ha 10 second timer I tend to stack my procs very easily. The only thing is you have to alter your game play around the set. Meaning, when I am DZ farming and a rouge tries to jump me, or I am trying to kill rouges I am always on the lookout for mobs to kill, then once I get my Tact or Survival proc off its lights out as a solid 10 seconds kill my target is more than enough time. Giving up the 10 second timer is the critical difference. Try it out, I promise you won't be disappointed.
6-6-3 isn't going to give you much difference from 5-5-5. 1k extra isn't enough trade-off to giving up almost 5 full seconds of your self proc. Even with the 1.8 stamina increase that only gives you an additional 3,000 HP. How is that trade-off more valuable? Not to mention that 6-6-3 barely clears 6 full seconds of your signature timer. I believe my calculation last put 6-6-3 at 5.6 seconds. That's 40% less timer reduction on your self-proc, and everyone knows in a firefight a lot can happen within 4 seconds.
Nope, that doesn't matter. Just roll your items as close as possible and do the finer adjustments with mods.Originally Posted by JaGReDDoG69 Go to original post
There will be a lot of ways to play the AB with 4 oder 5 pieces. Personally, I prefer using the 5pcs bonus and the Barrett chest.Originally Posted by JaGReDDoG69 Go to original post

Honestly a Hexotic with Skulls feels better than this 6P.
Having the old 4P as the new 6P would've even been better, unoriginal, but better.
I am somewhat surprised by the folllowing combo though:
5P Nomad + Reckless Chest. A lot better than expected in PvE, the Reckless allows you to get the equivalent of 10K FA, while retaining the ability to have Destructive on your guns.
I you plan to solo content with regular Elites/Veteran (challenging missions, PvE DZ, challenging UG, HVTs), then a 3x5k AB can be OK.
Use a pair of LWM4 determined / predatory / destructive / ferocious and everything will be almost as smooth as running a striker, but limited to these content and only if you solo. You can even run a decent first aid / overdose (compared to builds with only 2.9k Elec).
But it won't be that much useable in coop because to be efficient you need to kill NPC fast, and in a 4 men team the NPC healthpool will be too big and other players with better DPS will get the kills.
Another build that can be done with AB is a hybrid skill build : 3x AB, 2x Tactician + Ninja bag. It's not "better" than a 5x tactician, but at least you have guns that aren't ridiculous (same as above), and you don't need to stack (and get hurt) before hitting NPCs with stickies that can deal up to 2 million damages. You can solo legendaries with it (time square, warrengate).
There are still issues with this build : and overall low DPS / sustainability, so you'll have hard time dealing with bullet sponge boss, you should switch build before the boss or swap to healing station / first aid or pulse or whatever can help the team
And in coop legendary you'll have a bad interaction between bleed from sticky / seeker mines if you have a predator mark in your team.
