Yes, I would like to have the option
No, this option is unnecessary
That's why I left both up.Originally Posted by Sorrosyss Go to original post
I know absolutely nothing about the amount of effort that would be required to make this work, but I'd love to see it happen.
As much as I completely love AC:OD, I feel that my experience is slightly downgraded due to my characters inability to wear head- gear in cut-scenes.
This may sound over the top to some people but there is a reason for it..
I play games for the immersible gameplay between story, characters and exploration, all of this requires time, time in which I WILL be spending in the game, but I feel like I can't get the feel of my version of Alexios that I want to achieve.
A Mercenary's helmet is a symbolic item which represents many things like, Strength, Power, Title, Fear etc... the emotional connection I want to have with my version of Alexios just isn't there yet. If I want to play a bad guy, I would like my characters face to be covered through-out the game.. and hide behind a mask, or for example, if I wanted to play as though Alexios has had an injury to his eye, I would like for him to wear an eye-patch for the entire game, this is an RPG game after all, and as I said to some this is a very small thing that they can freely say they don't want it in the game, but for people that want the best experience possible out of AC:OD, and to have that deeper connection with the character they play, we need to have this feature implemented asap. This is the one thing that truly makes me sad about AC:OD... the game for me would seriously be perfect if I could see my head gear. in cut-scenes.
At the same time, could you also add weapons that we choose to have equipped to cut-scenes too?
Please UBISOFT.

I thought I would miss having headgear on during conversations. It was great in Origins where the voice would change if you had an enclosed helmet on. But I got bored with that. There are some great facial expression in this game and I would hate to miss that, so I'm happy with how they approached this.
Can we get some kind of official response regarding this feature? I want to know if I should stop holding my breath or just wait for it to be patched in. Doesn't seem like it'd be too troublesome to implement a feature to toggle headgear in cutscenes and conversations, but maybe I'm wrong. As for hiding facial expressions, a large majority of the headgear available don't cover the face at all. A lot of the helmets are open-faced, and then there are also things like hoods, circlets, and eyepatches which certainly do NOT hide the character's face by definition.
