I couldn't give a... for headgear in cutscenes. It's not a big deal really, is it? Some of the armour including headgear are really well made. But more time & effort went into designing kass & alexios so let them shine! You just need to stand close to a civilian & they crap themselves, & how often do you see a big ugly merc stop & have a chat with a civilian. It doesn't happen! masks & full face helmets are intimidating, so removing headgear during the loadscreen time seems reasonable. I mean talking to a king, or your mother with that underworld mask would be disrespectful, & creating animations of removing headgear would be a waste of time & effort!
Change nothing!
I think there are alot of conversations you have in-game where you e.g. talk to soldiers and/or mercs and they keep their headpiece on. It isn't something unseen in this game. There is also no argument for realism since this game does not try (nor have to) be realistic; just look at all those item sets in the Helix Store. Let the player roleplay their character, and give them the choice!Originally Posted by thegardener25 Go to original post
This is not what this thread is primarily about. People just want to see the feature from Origins return. As far as I'm concerned no one is really asking for aditional animations but instead for a simple toggle in the game options or in the inventory panel.Originally Posted by thegardener25 Go to original post
There is also a resource limitation with game consoles and they maxed them out years ago ..... You only have a finite amount of resources available and when you want to add something new or more complex (like the gear/RPG system) you have to take those resources from somewhere ...... Games on console systems have to be designed around 2013 era hardware with it's inherent limitations ..... Finding ways around these limitations and making the hardware do more than it was originally designed for (and making it relatively bug free) is an art unto itself .... But you can't magically create more memory in embedded systems which aren't degradable and with a storage system that isn't even up to SATA hard drive standards much less SSD speeds ......
Here we are... almost 10 MONTHS LATER, and this still has not been addressed. I gave up until this feature was changed, and now it's looking like I won't ever finish the game. I'm really disappointed that Ubisoft hasn't listened to their players. I can't imagine this is a complicated fix, when a glitch already exists that allows you to see the headgear in conversations. I can somehow wear an executioner's hood during cutscenes in Red Dead Redemption 2 and Rockstar is completely OK with it, but Ubisoft won't let me wear a headband in Assassin's Creed... Just doesn't make any sense!
Considering it was in the last game, that and it been a choice-based RPG, it does seem.. ironic.. I think an option at least means everyone can be happy. But I think the main reason Ubi won't want to do anything about it may be down to a select team making content for the market now more then anything, but who knows, either way I think it's strange to be able to earn *or buy* some of these awesome helmets and hoods and not be able to don them while talking to people.
Still waiting for this, even more so with the lawgiver hood being the most epic looking hood yet. You can even still see your character's face with it.
I completed the game when it first released and i was hoping to see this added before my second playthrough but for some reason, having your hood on while talking to someone (in an assassin's creed game !) still isn't possible for this release...
