I think it's absolutely horrible that I can't fast travel to cities...
Liked the bow system in Origins better.
Other than that it's a great game!

Great game, love naval. A few tweaks I would recommend

I love the world and the feel of the game is hugely better than in origins
Running on a PC, using a controller

There are a few things I would love to be improved on though

I'm not 100% if these are spoilers, but I do reference a game play mechanic which I didn't expect and LOVE, so just gonna put them in there anyway
    Spoiler:  Show

The thing I love are the faction wars and pretty much the factions system as a whole... To my problems!

Auto saving. This is a massive hassle. Why doesn't the game save when going into a war, why can't it save when passing into a dangerous area? It seems like the saving system needs a bit of an overhaul, as I have to pause, press dpad up and press a to QUICKSAVE. Where on other titles a quick save is either a 1 or 2 press system.

Menu navigation. Why is there a long transition when quickly moving through the in game menu? Why can't it just do a quick 0.3s swipe or fade to the next screen, there isn't much information stored

Loading. A problem which is never going to be perfect, but the main situations where I would love a bit more optimization, (would probably tie in with a more effective saving system) is going into wars and dying (which are kind of hand in hand). As for the war, If you die, you have to load into the main world, then have a conversation with the guy to get back into the war, which means (you guessed it!) another loading screen, loading what I had just loaded into before.

Combat. This is less of an actual complaint, more of a gripe which may be resultant of me playing on hard. When attacking some enemies, wolves are a particular offender, they offer little to no opportunity to dodge or block the attack and no telegraph to tell me if it's attacking. This ends with me going full Dark Souls and rolling around the enemies with the occasional slap to take them out. Would love for this to be adjusted slightly, even for the first island or the first few levels to get used to the combat, as the new combat system feels a lot faster paced and a lot more difficult

I'll probably just have to get good for the combat

That is, Southern Europeans - not other ethnicities that are not of European stock. It's historically inaccurate. Alexios and Kassandra look Greek to me but not everyone else, especially most civilians... Diversity in this context is simply historical revisionism. Please leave politics ouf of gaming.

Ubisoft Like lot of AAA gaming studios is guided by politics of the hierarchy of CEO'S and other think tanks leaders and is leading to them becoming EA. Paid DLC, a game base that start from 60$ and only goes up for rest of version, purchasable skins and other options xp gained in pay to win style, and on top adding their own Politics in gaming.

Layla Hassan has nothing whatsoever to do with Greek world, Egyptians had their own culture own viewpoint. They could adapt it to more a believable character as Greek.
In fact Ubisoft ideas was to make the odyssey as DLC part of origin which is both political bs and lazy.

Origin in fact takes a piss of Egyptian and mixes propaganda and politics and I can go in every point if anyone wants to argue with facts from main character which pure leftist propaganda and deceptive [when historical papers and actual Egyptian DNA tells another story and disproves it] and I don't know ho Egyptians don't take offense and is ticking bomb to have reaction soon or latter, to many other things as reference Passover exodus which is another ******** [ archeological research and DNA has disproved many times] has perpetrated with those with influence as in Hollywood and politicians.

Im paying for game not for gaming studio and CEO politics.

Afer finishing tutorial and finishing first conquest then to Delphi...
I tried nightmare and easy diff.

My first good impression are over.
This game is the same trash as Syndicate was. I can't believe I trusted reviewers.

    - No support for non violent path -> even if I take down eg bandits with fists the game needs me to kill them to finish the game. Why??? Origins let ME decide for non assassination target!
    - No non leathal-takedown from the start - Origins had it!!!
    - recruit system is ******ed and very lazy design - cold have been several NPCs for coin or personal side quests
    - saving captives - you didn't fix it since Origins - if I clear a way I would like to get out THApfT way. NPC runs into guard and trigger open combat -> thanks for destroying my stealth attempt.
    - Very expensive weapon/ armor upgrades - Origins allowed me to keep up item level for a few coins → I am not going to grind materials or pay micro transactions! Ultimate Edition costs a lot ilself!
    - level gap is severe even on easy difficulty!
    - as was stated many times → map is so bad to read!
    - GUI set up lacks a lot of options still
    - no Hack the animus to tune the game for us!

    Many more issues.

lam at the point where I enjoy only the world they built. Gameplay wise... I am very dissapointed and I don't really feel like playing this Murderer Creed any further.

I thought that Quebeck learned from GTA London, but they didnt...

Creating RPG with dialog choices that matter, but you won't let me to shape the person I am playing.

No matter how you try, Quebec made sure that main hero MUST kill thousands of enemies to finish the quest.

This is pathetic and every single AC game will beat both titles that were made in Quebec.

You could patch the game, but YOU LOVE warrior tree and your Murderer Creed take on franchise so you wont do it.

Origins had a few issues but it was 100% better game.

I honesty wish your team wont make any further AC title as this IS second AC I wont finish. Enjoy your payment. That's the last time I bought title made in quebeck.

Now I am worried about ACIII remaster - I am waiting for it for years and if you failed that one too that will make me sad more than Syndicate and Odyssey combined.

AC Odyssey: 4/10 under average AC title worth maybe 20 Euro

Origin is insult to anyone with historical research and background which has idea the impact Assyrian had and supper short lived invasions to have any significance in any direction, glad I didn't touch that Origin gets right only architecture because scanned the rest is utter bs..
Odyssey was suppose to be DLC but processed and sold far better than was originally though and outsold Origin.

Anyone with historical knowledge or that follows scientific research, knows that origins has a lot of undiluted political propaganda.

Although lot of gaming magazines are corrupt do favors and get pid to promote http://www.deepfreeze.it/

Here is what they valuing this game

Compared to origins like comparing day and night. This is why Assassin odyssey outsold previews titles and is no 2 game in twich.

    Text Size

I think the Text size is too small for quests and item descriptions. The subtitle font is easily read, but sometimes a quest hint will pop up and I have no idea what it says.
During the tutorial it says to press some button to shield break, at times even the Circle and Square icons are indistinguishable.

    This was very very disappointing

    Playing on PS4 Pro

    Pros:

    -Visually good looking environment
-Combat system works great and chains are more fluid than origins and counter attacking works well. Love the new ability moves i.e. Sparta kick, bull charge etc and its really fun to use them during chains.
-Love that you can choose between guided and exploration mode.
-customisation of your gear is better than its ever been and really makes the grind worth it.
-It has the right amount of ship battles and land combat so it adds variety (blag flag was far too much navel play).
-map is huge and full of places to explore
-Side missions seem shorter and not as repetitive as before which is good
-Choosing your path and speech options are big big pro in my opinion, cant wait to see how my action will play out throughout the game
-The conquest battles are fun and nice touch.
-the emersion of ancient greece is amazing and it feels great to climb and explore famous landmarks

    Cons

-The quest list gets really cluttered and confusing, the game auto add tons of quests to the list that cant even be done till later on in the game.
    - The Ariel 3D interactive map looks dull and its hard to distinguish what is what (origins you can clearly see the pyramids and other land marks on the map and it just looks neater)
-Dialog can be a bit dull and lifeless and sometimes not in sync with their voices.
-Parkour can be a little rough and slow.
-Traversing sometimes misses the ledge or whatever your trying to grab completely.
-Viewpoints are scattered quite far apart
-Missions and enemies levelling with you is something I'm not a fan of.
-Sometimes when trying to get from A to B by sea you get ambushed by loads of ships when you just want to travel.
-The stealth detection is overrated and needs improving, I find it too easy to get caught and even when you do a stealth kill someone always hears and sees it and then calls for backup.
-There is not enough incentive to play stealthy, I find the abilities and playing stealthy is not rewarding enough, I loved the stealth play in syndicate, AC123 etc this game seems like they wanted it to be more warrior mode rather than assassin.
-Getting black screen bugs every now and then
-The spear seems way to repetitive in its chain
-Its hard to know what to do first or what to do next.
-A lot of paths just take way to long to get where your going on horse back and take a longer route round rather than paths through mountains, so its easier to just climb everywhere, Greece is such a hilly place

Thats all I could think of for now but even so most of the cons I listed are not that much of a big deal.

I am going to make a refund on Steam and maybe purchase it if they fix that nonsence !
The lack of shields really bothered me. I am also getting black screens. Protection Missions are utterly impossible.
