The only time I don't get anything from those is if I have max drachmae.Originally Posted by WildBill_67 Go to original post
This started off as the best assasins creed by far. But lo, as the game progresses, the difficulty becomes insane and there is no reliefs as the developers have felt inclined to level every mission and merc up along with the character being played. I have skipped many of the missions because they are just too hard. In other assasins creed games you could get stronger and return and finish but not here. Why is it that if I challenge a merc two levels lower than me they can easily wipe me out in 3-4 hits and it takes me 20-30? An the animals are ridiculous, I got killed in two hits by the boar. I don’t play on hard, I play at normal, so it shouldn't be so difficult. Medusa is the worst. Ive tried about two dozen times only getting her to about 25% health and then getting wiped out. I don’t like how uneven the game is between me and my opposition. Please do something about this, it sucks. I work many hours to build my character to only have it mean nothing. The missions for obsidian are crazy as well. Please make the game fun, not impossible. Impossible game suck!
I really love the new combat mechanics that was introduced in Origins and continues in Odyssey but I honestly despise the leveling system. The high profile combat is much improved from the earlier titles in the series but the leveling system ruins it for those of us who love to play stealthy. For example I could be in an outpost making my way to the commanding officer by silently dispatching or avoiding the low level guards. I successfully get myself perched on a rooftop or up in a tree above the post commander poised for an aerial kill. I drop down sinking my blade into the commander's throat expecting a nice clean kill and then sneaking off out of the base undetected but nope... I only do about a third amount of damage to the commander's health bar which forces me into the high profile combat I had successfully avoided until now and making matters worse the fighting alerts the other guards in the outpost and I'm fighting all of them.
High profile combat should be more challenging as it is... but if I'm playing stealthy in Assassin's Creed I expect to be an apex predator dispatching any enemy with a single hit. For the last 2 games considering the fact that these games predate the Assassin Order I've let it slide reminding myself that while these protagonists are skilled fighters, they aren't trained assassins. But if this is the direction the series continues in I'll be sorely disappointed as a long time Assassin's Creed fan.
Also not a fan of the episodic DLC format... I'd rather play the entire DLC pack at once, not split up over several months.
I originally felt the same way as you about this but the more I thought about it I realised that when you're in the animus you are playing as the ancestor. So the choices you are making are the ancestor's choices, not the choices of the person in the animus. It's always been this way but to a lesser extent... like deciding how you kill your targets. I know in some AC games in order to get 100% synch you had to kill some targets a specific way.but you never failed the mission by doing it differently.Originally Posted by CaptnZack Go to original post
The newest armor with bull mount is awesome. I think though the armor should have had some fire accents on it here and there but the set looks great. Also I hope there will be a black Pegasus in the near future. He should have gray or blue eyes like the deer mount coming up. Really really want a black Pegasus.![]()
I enjoyed Episode 2 of The Fate of Atlantis a lot more than Episode 1 - Storywise anyway
However -- Snakes! Go away - I shouldn't die from them in 1 or 2 hits at level 70
Layla still seems likes she's been tacked on, if those MD sequences with her and her companion were gone, it wouldn't make a difference to the Kassandra's story.

I'm hoping that the final episode really ties together their stories well.
Seriously this has been one of the best games I've played in years. Originally I was looking into buying God of War it had great reviews and since it was almost a year old it was cheap that was until I found this game. I looked into it and it had amazing reviews and I took a risk. This risk would later become the best video game I've ever bought and I don't say this to be a stuck up I really do love this game. The main story kept me so intrigued and though it had some bumps with running around it didn't bore me enough to just get up and do something else. I love the game so much that I hate that it has to end though with this game I have more respect for Ubisoft and can't wait for the next game in the series. Though I do wish for another Greek themed one with the mythological aspects along with the Greek legends that actually are historical and not all truely made up. This is something I have loved about the Assassin's Creed series is the incorporation of historical aspects. But to wrap things up this game is amazing and it'll be hard for me when the last episode does come out but I'll be ready for whatever Ubisoft has next.
