If you want to deduct everything down, you won't find any. This is video game. If you want to do that, you can start by digging logic of how GTA lets you walk out of hospital after getting blown up in a car. Or better, try PS2 GTA where you don't see your body in blown up car, but somehow you're as good as new 6 hours later in the hospital lobby.

But if you want to be reasonable and rational, then that IFF code could be one reason. Secondly, air traffic and route. A suspicious aircraft flying low within SAM radius of restricted airspace and no report about it.

Same thing goes to faction vehicle. The detection rate has been toned down long time ago. You technically can drive into a base normally and not like a madman and you'll be fine.

In a glimpse of an eye, nobody will notice you. If you slow down like a donkey, then well, they see 4 unusual suspicious person, what do you expect?

I think the post-patch SAM detection is fine

It takes into account aircraft faction but doesn't give you a free pass. Makes sense. Given the situation in Wildland's Bolivia, I doubt that SBC or UNIDAD follow strict IFF procedures. Furthermore, the SAMs don't seem to be part of a well planned AA grid but rather area defence weapons. They seem to be completely automated and designed solely to protect the immediate airspace of the camp they are placed in. Their IFF protocol seems to be "Is friendly?" "Ok...they can get *this* close"..."not any further"..."Is not friendly?....Shoot"

There is simple solution for SAM problem. We have two organizations controlling SAMs, SBC and UNIDAD. In bases and outposts that have helicopter or airplane you must interrogate officer for valid IFF codes. Codes are valid only for 24 or 48 in game hours, that will be around 20-30 minut of real time (may be less), and in that time SAMs of SBC or UNIDAD will ignore you.

Facepalm. You have nothing of value to add to this topic and although you're desperately trolling on it to deflect that you have misunderstood the game (again) I'll throw you a morsel.

There is overwheming evidence of IFF and you know it. It is not possible to positively identify enemies, it is only possible to positively identify friendlies, so how are friendliest being identified by the SAMs and not shot down if there is no IFF? Oh yeah, the Devs forgot, LoL, and accidentally made it like it is for real. They even added the radar lock warning tone change, presumably that was a random piece of luck too.

Note there is no countermeasure to IFF except jamming and the countermeasures that are being requested are missile countermeasures. Different topic, but 3/10 for the troll effort on the basis of at least you bought the game at long last.

No, you seem to be the Martyr that it is bent on either what you say, or rather what your friends the devs have told you and you have eaten like a lemming or nothing at all. I am not debating the fact that there is or isn't IFF, I am debating the fact that they seem to forget to allow us, those who are playing the game, to be able to hack into the codes, get them by bullying a Lt. close by, etc, etc, etc... they could have made a meal out of it.

But hey, whatever float your boat is ok with me... you keep having a hard on that you are the poster child of UBI if that makes you feel good about yourself.

Your post was simply a continuance of your reasoning that that the way the game behaves is a mistake. You even managed to entangle your disgruntlement back into a conversation that had switched to APCs. Why would you "debate" a point with me that I have stated numerous times is a mechanic I'd like to see in the game as well?

And quit with the personal attacks, please. It's so old now.

You don't know what a personal attack is, otherwise, look at the mirror and lead by example.

GMT...bro...you take every possible opportunity to swipe at BLUEFOX. Whether it's namecalling or passive aggressive remarks. Look, I understand that Wildlands pisses you off because of the Tom Clancy moniker...the game has seriously disappointed me too and I too am pissed off by a myriad of design decisions taken by the dev team. However, BLUEFOX is not a "target" because he doesn't voice his opinions the way you do.

What may seem as 'defending the game' to you is actually him being balanced. He's been openly critical of the game without having to resort to negative feedback. He was part of a select group of fans invited to Ubi Paris and you're holding it against him...this is beyond unfair and unreasonable.

Please keep the thread respectful of each others opinions and ideas, failure to do so will just lead in the thread being closed.

Logic... IFF codes are used in real life but so is hacking them or grabbing those codes from someone nearby. That is my stand

I am tired of defending myself and my points because he does not like them or thinks that because the devs told him so (or are his personal assumptions), that is the truth or the gospel, it isn't or at least I have my own opinions, if he does not like them, that is his problem.

He doesn't consider calling someone a troll a personal attack, I don't either but I have been warned and even banned before for it so I am sure the CMS or Mods also do but do to the fact that he is UBI's poster child, he gets away with it.

I respect you shobhit but believe me, but he is no martyr... though you are sure making him out to be
