Which makes this even more mind boggling because that means that even for Uplay they can make the patches smaller when they want to... let's hope this is one of those times.

I am glad that Steam did not required me to install the Destroy-more-than-fix-health patch, at least I don't think it did because my game didn't say it did, then again, I play offline most of the time so I don't worry all that much. It does piss me off to no end that steam takes a long time to load and then I have to wait for turtle mode uplay to start as well.

A hotfix should not be a re-download of any previous patch/update - by its very definition. Ubisoft has done hotfixes previously, so "I'm" expecting this to be no different, when it happens.

By going to off-line as soon as you fire up Steam/Uplay, there shouldn't be any issues regarding receiving patches/updates. The key for me, as I've stated, is that I've turned off the auto download settings.

I don't mind delays for polishing. I do mind that it's a fix to a fix(and I mean "the" fix).

Missed opportunity to fix everything else too, but I guess manning for Wildlands 2's microtransactions can't wait.

I'm on PS4, so I'm f*cked. I tried to not download one of the previous 'hotfix' by keep cancelling it, but I eventually gave up to Ubi senpai no hottofuikkusu.

I'll be surprised if this one comes as smaller download all of sudden.

When the fix didn't fix so they have to send out a follow-up fix which is now currently being delayed for a fix.

Honestly and all kidding aside... I wish they would just STOP doing anything else to the game and let it die. Whatever wasted time you will spend half assing whatever they are doing could be, perhaps, used to make a better future game, whether is call WL2 or just GR.

As a single-only player, if they could just correct the attachment issue with my pre-TU15 created character, then yes, I'm not really interested in anything else at this stage of the game's life. As a late-comer I've still got plenty to do in the game-world simply utilizing its basic components.

Right now, what I am doing is going to each province, getting the Skills and Weapon crates only to level up, once I am done with that I am going to start the main missions, hopefully by then, the Fix to fix all issues will be implemented.

I gotta be honest, I have not noticed anything wrong (big issues) with the game yet but again, it was a fresh/new character and with steam, I don't really know what version of the game I am on because Steam only puts a random number but I do believe Steam didn't have the latest botched update when I purchased it so I might have gotten lucky.

EDIT: ... Any word or update on the hotfix? Did we read wrong and they meant Oct 2nd but 2019?

the bit that gets a bit tedious is the vagueness. and this isnt a dig at tone or the other mods, cause they dont get given the info in the first place. while i appreciate stuff goes wrong, and a solution isnt always quick to find, or even a cause for an issue isnt always known, its the apparent lack of urgency thats a bit frustrating. "polishing" isnt useful info in my opinion. i would assume there is a very specific issue preventing them from putting out the hotfix. i for one, would prefer they be upfront with such things and straight up tell us whats what. personally, i was looking forward to jumping back in and got a bit excited knowing i would be able to on wednesday. then we are told, not yet, we are polishing. there are only so many games i can play at once purely because the control schemes are so different between the games. im currently on forza horizon, i will be jumping into black ops, and i will be jumping into red dead. that leaves ghosts sat there until whenever. which is a shame, cause it is a fantastic game when its firing on all cylinders.

tldr: can you guys tell us straight up what the delay is? if something has blown up, then something has blown up. i would prefer solid info vs "pr speak".
