Thank god, I am done with the Survival Shield

Finally I got the patch tonight, I mistook the directions and actually just ran around killing NPCs in the LZ until i died just thinking I needed time, not time and extracting alive.... UGH! Anyway I am happy that is over with. While I like the feel of going up the food chain, all the feelings of wasted time for no real character benefit bothers me.

I actually wanted to ask you guys what you think full shield completion % for the player base will be? With survival out of the way I would say my worst shield is finished and pending changes it looks like clear sailing from here on out. I checked Xbox Achievements and it looks like only 2% of the player base has ever successfully extracted from survival, how many of them did it again for the shield who knows. How does it look on your respective machine? I am guessing less than 1% of the community will complete all shields. I am not trying to sound elitist but I am glad there will be something rare to carry over to Div2. I would like "Happy" to come too, but just because I think that is the hardest mask to get. Even if it does look like poop.

I did it when Survival was fresh and new, and the moment I realized it was a mini game, and not an actual game make-over, I never touched it again.

I don't have this shield completed, nor the Dark zone one, as I'd rather pull my teeth with a cinderblock than go into the DZ.

I'm not sure if that is 2% of all Division players or 2% of all people who own Survival DLC (the former would be wildly inaccurate & the latter would obviously be pretty accurate). Other than that, I got it done too & like you I knew when the Shields were first farmed, this would be my hardest Shield

Yeah.... I really hoped the shields would ignore survival because I disliked it at launch. Now it is even worse because of all the skill nerfs. You can one shot a hunter with an M44 but god forbid you are able to kill anything with a sticky or seeker. The shield is almost useless too, it is just not fun.

Not sure how it is tallied, because if you do not update a game sometimes the new achievements do not appear in your profile. Like if you played at launch and left/uninstalled before UG/Survival released you would have had 1000 GS cap. if you played anytime after it would update the GS and include you in the global % as not complete. I want to say 2% of the entire community, I highly doubt only 2% of the people who bought survival completed it. With the player base drop, and poor DLC sales it is not surprising, I would actually say I am shocked that many people even played survival. Although I would guess the games pass and Division sales have helped boost the numbers, with the cheap-o chivo hunters.

I cannot believe that only 2 percent of the players have successfully extracted from Survival. Ok I, am on PS 4, but I don't think that the players' skills or preferences differ much on the two platforms. Survival is one of my favourites and I played it a lot and 2% is inconsistent with my experiences. There are some players on my friend list who are not the biggest Survival fans, but even these ones had the Survival Shield after a few days with a bit of help - and this applies to all Shields, in my view. They are not very challenging.

I would not say it is the difficulty, it is to me, and many others, a very boring mode.

If what I see for PS is correct, then that system has a 4.42% completion for the survival extraction.

Things to consider. The DLC did not sell very well and near 90% of the player base left before Survival. In many games late season DLC achievements may only see 5-10% of the player base, and these people tend to be the minority who bought the season pass.

As for Xbox vs Playstation that is kinda simple when you think about it. Xbox players tend to be of the newest FPS hype move to new games quickly type player. While PS owners do tend to be the Classic JRPG (Final Fantasy, Dragon Warrior) fan and spend more time on a single game farming trophies. You can even see it in the sales of games PS may have a 2-1 lead over xbox sales yet in new AAA sales you would be hard pressed to find evidence of that.

This is probably the reason. Apparently, there are more differences between XBox and PS players than I'd thought. 4,4% is a bit higher and I think this applies to the entire player base. I did not know that so many players quit already before the release of Survival. However, as I mentioned before, the Survival Shield is easy. You can get it in 5 to 10 hours of playing, according to your experience. I am not the best DZ player and completed the DZ Shield in two days. The Shields are really a piece of cake. They should be a bit more challenging, in my view.

Yeah, I was hoping for some really cool challenges or something, not the "hey do it all again just because" nonsense. I was also hoping for some actual good rewards, silly me.

As for Survival, like I said it is not difficult to beat, and the shield is fairly simple. It is just boring and the struggle is more along the lines of forcing myself to play it rather than earning the shield. Two of my friends who have all the other shields have just refused to go back into survival. I really want the full shield completion but even I came close to just saying F survival too.

Are we even sure that 2% of TD players or does that repressnt 2% of people with an xbox?

This is the problem with statistic data without context -we don't know. However, I assume they refer to the Division players not X-Box owners. That would be a too general base for a DLC..
