I agree that in essence, it is a type of P2W model if bought weapons are more effective / lethal than what you can find in-game. That would certainly give players who pay an advantage. .....and while playing solo may not affect others, certainly there would be an impact when playing "co-op". I think some are forgetting about that aspect. If people are going to be interacting with others in the campaign that have access to more superior weapons than they do, that will certainly have an effect on the gameplay experience for them and probably not in a positive way (at least for some).Originally Posted by KingSpawn1979 Go to original post
Either way, if better weapons are locked behind a paywall then I can also see people complaining that Ubi is purposely keeping the good stuff "behind the counter" that can dramatically change the balance on harder difficulties or modes like Tier One and GM. .....and make challenges easier, etc. Some could even accuse Ubi of purposely making those things even more difficult to encourage people to buy the better weapons they offer in-store.
Personally, I think Ubi has made the right move in that respect by keeping things that are locked behind the paywall mostly cosmetic.
....actually, someone did suggest it.Originally Posted by Hunter20112 Go to original post
Personally, I don't see a problem with paid weapons being on par with ones that are currently available.
I don't have the gun and I don't really use the LVOAC Division and Bad News. But I'm surprised the complain thread goes up to 2 pages and yet I still don't see anyone bringing up other stats such as Reload Speed into account.
Some weaker AR have high reload speed and smaller recoil to compensate the low damage, for example. So what does the LVOA-C have in this regard that considers it to be 'weaker' than other AR?
high recoil and average handilingOriginally Posted by Kane_sg Go to original post
reload speed ain't nothin special either
has decent bullet drop though not better than any other assault rifle though
so its a bad gun that looks cool
It fires the same 5.56 round as every other AR in the game, thus should have the exact base damage as every other 5.56 calibur weapon.
I really hope that ubisoft put some real r&d into how weapon platforms and ball ammo works in future installments, and stop treating their weapons with individual rpg stats based on rarity.
From what I understand from my personal network (I am a combat engineer not a "operator"), in real life the LVOA-C is a horribly unreliable platform that you would only see on the range in the hands of untrained civilians who were trying to look tacticool. The manufactur of the LVOA-C, Warsports industries has gone dark since late 2017, and recently been acquired by ZRODELTA.
Because all ammo is universal in GRW, weapon stats should be based on the following
Damage: ball calibur
Handeling: weight / barrel length / attachment
Fire rate: gas system / trigger mech
Range: ball calibur / barrel length / attachment
Accuracy: ball callibur / sight / attachment / barrel length
Penetration: ball calibur
Noise reduction: ball calibur / muzzle attachment
Essentially the take away is that all 5.56 platforms should have identicle damage and penetration stats. This should also be so for each other calibur family represented in the game, aside from the splinter cell fiveseven, which requires match grade / sub callibur ammo to facilitate noise reduction without a external silencer
I haven't purchased it, so I don't know personally. However the general opinion of many is that the LVOA is a little under powered.
I won't be buying it until I'm justly compensated for my other issues.
Including the one below!!
Playing devils advocate a little, its probably hard to get excited about it for many, because the bad news kicks its veritable booty on damage.
The bad news simply looks like a bad Hentai movie, I won't use it.
I own practically all the DLC guns, few are good, some are okay, and many are terrible.
I was kinda hoping for better stats on DLC guns myself, considering it is a single player, or Coop Vs Environment game?
Speaking of guns, you know how you can buy the in game guns so you don't have to collect them everywhere like a lunatic,
and actually enjoy the game from the start?
Yeah in Ghost mode, Narco Road (not sure about fallen ghosts) you have to go and collect them anyway,
even though you've paid for them. So that's rewarding, not!!
Not the attachments though, yeah they're available and absolutely useless without the guns to put them on!!
Once again, paying for content that simply isn't there, how would you like this if it happened to you.
Buy a new car, and the radio only works on the highway!!
