    Possible fix splash screen crash

HEY PEOPLE. I FIX THE PROBLEM FEW MINUTES AGO. (I TRYED EVERYTHING: MOVE TO C:\, ADD JUNCTIONS, PRIVILEGES, FULLSCREEN OPTIMIZATIONS)

    UNINSTALL K-LITE CODEC PACK

RESET WINDOWS DEFAULT AND FIX REGISTRY BROKEN STUFF (SAME UNINSTALLER)

TRY WITH THE DEFAULT CONFIG or REINSTALL K-LITE CODEC PACK LAST VERSION.

    I HOPE THIS WORKS.

I also got the game crashing at startup - just after the warning screen regarding epilepsy. I was adamant to get this working, after all, it looks like a great game.

My PC specs are the following at no overclocking whatsoever.:
    GTX 1080TI
    Ryzen 3600
    32GB memory @ 4000mhz
    Windows 10 64 bit

Noticing a pattern on NVIDIA cards (based on thread issues) I started with the drivers first. I have the latest at time of posting 445.87.
One of earlier versions, at around 441 somewhere, I started getting a crash report to submit to Ubisoft - prior to this, no crash report. I guessed that was a step closer. It should be noted that my latest Windows update prevented me from going too far back on updates so I had to start around version 441.
I started hitting stability around version 442.59. The game actually loaded into the startup screen where I can do things. I then slowly incremented the updates to see what the problem was and guess what......after reinstalling my initial version of 445.87 the game worked! Weird, I know, but at least its running.

Hope this may alleviate some of the problems you might be experiencing. Just thought I'd share this.

    Happy gaming during lockdown!

I was having this exact problem: couldn't run Odyssey at all, the game crashed at start with a generic error message.
I tried the Symlink fix and nothing. Even uninstalled the game and installed it in the Windows (C drive.

The fix for me was: DISABLING NVIDIA DRIVER SHARPENING.
That's it. Now it's running flawlessly.

    Game crashing

    Same as everyone
Game crashes a little bit after the tips window. Tried updating drivers, running the File Checker to check for system errors, uninstalling and re-installing the game. I played AC: Origin in this same PC without any issues.
Anyone from Ubisoft support who can perhaps help?
