    It seems I fixed the problem, many thanks to N3B584

    I faced the same issue with crashing the game (Win 10, Core i7 8700 + GeForce GTX 1060 6Gb). It took me two days trying different suggestions from this thread including
    * reinstall the game and move to the C drive
    * execute sfc utilities
    * install latest drivers and windows patches
    * changing the configuration file with different windowed modes, etc.
    * removing unnecessary services
    * adding the exceptions into the antivirus and executing using admin/compatibility modes

    But none of the options above helped. And almost at the of the thread it was suggested by N3B584 to remove Avira antivirus. I didn't remove it but instead removed all additional products (Avira Software Updater, Avira System Speedup, the only antivirus service is working with exceptions). And after that removal the game started to work! It might be that some of the actions above also helped, but the Avira was the reason in my case.

    Nevertheless, I hope it will help someone.

    PS. Still strange that after so much time the issue is not fixed fully. And after spending my money I have to spend my time to fix the unnecessary problems. Even if there is a good discount, next time I will think twice before buying Ubisoft games.....

    AC Odessey broken after I bought season pass - Case 11372871

    So I bought AC Odessey about two weeks ago on a sale, played through the game and finished it last week. Today I decided to buy the Season pass and BAM it stopped working, I get that Oh no it crashed message. I tried everything I could find in forums nothing works so far. I am not running a very high spec rig:

    i5-8600K 3.6GHz
    8gb Ram
    GTX 1060 3Gb

    Had no problem playing the game last week. Issue came today after I bought the season pass.
    Logged a ticket with Ubisoft 11372871.

    Played the game for about 17 hours no issues with plenty of start ups. Now the the game crashes every time I open it it goes to a black screen. I have logged a ticket Case Reference # 11377342 as I have exhausted all options. I have a PC with an i7 7700k and 1080 asus GPU and 32Gb's of ram, This is very frustrating. It also came with two assassin's creed odyssey III games and they load fine

    I appear to have solved the issue I found this on a NVIDA forum and I did the following
    1. Turned off Nvidia sharpening
    2. Did a reboot.

    Hello!

    I had bought it when it was released, returned (Steam). Bought now with discounts and the exact same problem as when it was released ...
    Make people laugh. Shame on you!
