Nice, it's not cinematic, suspenseful, or immersive like the movie, but you used the few necessary sploits well enough to get er done quick.
The thing that bothers me most about this mission is the setting and the limited movement of the Predator. In the movie he was very good at stealth, using trees a lot. They really should have had it in a denser forest with lots of big trees with large branches, so that he could hop from one to the other. The combination of the vertical element combined with the foliage of the trees would make it MUCH harder to see him. All you really have to do as shown is stay by an ammo crate and wait until you see his cloak or laser and fire or dodge, rinse and repeat.
I actually think a setting at a huge loading dock wearing a power loader fighting the queen alien would have been MUCH more immersive and challenging. They could have had interaction with Newt and Bishop like in the movie and more ways to fail mission other than just dying. Something about the fear of having only a huge melee weapon and hearing that queen whip her tail was quite immersive. Instead of using an airlock there could be a huge press nearby you crush her with, like in Terminator (shamelessly mixing Sigourney movies with Arnold movies here).
Of course the problem with that is it's more like the movie than GR at that point, but that's the whole problem with these kinds of missions, they're never anywhere near as satisfying as the original.
And being able to make traps.Originally Posted by Ubi-Lucipus Go to original post

I am still blown away that this was the finished product.. the video below was all in a couple hours of one day (according to the file it was in). This can't possibly show as top notch work. Ubi should get some money back from whomever they hired to code this game. or better testers. But I doubt they have the ability to fix it.. since the entire game dysyncs in coop-
99.9% of the people don't have any idea about dsync invisible predators firing, two predators at once. They just think its difficult and unforgiving when the fact is...it does NOT function as it should.
In the video that started this thread. The 2nd to the last shot, he didn't even laser me.. and was glitched in the side of a tree.. only because I know his glitches and sounds did i dodge without seeing him. Only one person asked me about that.. so i doubt anyone noticed.
