Ummm, the game itself tells you it saves automatically. Try not to be so condensending.Originally Posted by ootat Go to original post

Yeah, it's really easy for us on PS4. As soon as I die, I quit the game and download the last save from the cloud. Whenever I am done with a dession (and sometimes in the middle), I will upload a save. I just save or restore "all" each time.Originally Posted by Hugo-FOU Go to original post
I don't believe he was being condescending but who knows.Originally Posted by TreFacTor Go to original post
Either way, there is a way that XB1 owners can back up their saves but it may come with risks and/or be more difficult than a simple process. There was a thread around here somewhere where it was explained or a link was provided.
......but that's your choice if you want to believe and research it. I'm just letting you know that there may in fact be a way as even one forum member who had been swearing up and down it wasn't possible eventually conceded (albeit with a "no so cut and dry" retort). I believe there were others on here who also confirmed.
If I were able to try and confirm it for you I would but I don't own an XB1.
I've seen the directions and they seem legit but that aside they game will automatically save to your selected device. There's no way to do that just from the basic options and his comment made it seem rather rudimentary to accomplish.Originally Posted by Kean_1 Go to original post
Yes the game saves at points during game play.
what we are talking about is a save state that is separate from the game auto save.
So
Copy your Ghost Mode (revenge slot 1) file to a usb stick
Start the game and you play for an hour then you die, at which time your Ghost Mode file (revenge slot 1) is over written by the in game auto save causing your character to be whipped.
close the game out
Take the file on the usb stick and overwrite the file on your system.
restart game and select your restored character.
All progress made during that previous hour is lost, but you character is alive again.
Hummm. I got Tier 1 in Ghost Mode - Xbox One - And I don't think we need to recover saves. I died a lot, at first because of glitches, then, after update, because of my own "noobieness", Rested for a while and came back to Wildlands. Tried again and again. Now I am on my 2nd tour to Tier 1 (Tier 39 now) and still think I don't need recover saved game: Recon and kill, recon and kill - I am playing it in Extreme difficulty, full HUD for Tier mode and Extreme, no HUD for fun. No complaints so far.
