I read your comment, and then quickly realized how frustrating farming for something specific can be! Especially when you're getting the same things you don't want over and over again.Originally Posted by meathead_79 Go to original post
BTW guys, I'm one of the new CRs on the team for The Division. Not new to Ubisoft games, but I am new to The Division franchise. You may have seen some of my posts in the forums already, so nice to formally meet all of you.
Welcome Scottie, good to have more CR's represent on the forums. Are you playing The Division yourself?Originally Posted by UbiSc0ttie Go to original post
Can I give you a tip? Don't reply with: " I'll pass this along to the Team." too much here, overtime it will lose it's value. I'd rather have you give your personal opinion on the discussed topic, than something generic like I mentioned. We know you can't say everything, that's okay.
Can we follow you on Twitter?
Sorry for going off topic.
Nice to meet you UbiScottie. Hope you don't mind me calling your answer an empty phrase. I just asked myself how something that depends on the RNG can be impressive. But now, knowing you are new, I understand it better. As you already noticed, it can be frustrating to farm for a specific classy piece or exotic. The RNG is "moody". Sometimes cheap, sometims generous. Yesterday, for example, I got classy Reclaimer gloves (rolled on electronics, with Skill haste, SMG damage and CHC already) and a Bullfrog from one Field Proficiency Cache. For the first time in more than two years, I found two bonus items in one cache! Later, I played Amherst's legandary and got and Urban MDR (unforgiving, vicious), a classy Pred backpack on stamina, and a House (Deadly, Responsive). Then I opend two Survial caches and each one included a classy piece as well. Seven classy/exotics in one hour! The point is, I do not really need all the stuff anymore. I never had such luck when I was farming classy pieces and exotics. That's typcally Division.
@SevenNVD , I'm new on The Division. Love the gameplay, just got to find more agents to play with. I'd rather squad up, than be solo.Originally Posted by SevenNVD Go to original post
And thanks for the tip! I prefer to be more personable with the TD community anyways, than sound generic and robotic. Where's the fun in that?
Also, thanks for understanding that I can't share certain information. I'll be sure to update you guys with any information I receive from higher ups, as I get it.
As far as my Twitter...
I'll share it with you guys when we all get better acquainted!
I appreciate the warm welcome. You guys are cool.
@rosch15 , Nice to meet you as well (and no offense taken).Originally Posted by rosch15 Go to original post
After reading your explanation, I feel I could compare the RNG to the lottery. Sometimes you may win, but mostly you don't.
would anybody say the Colonel Bliss's holster is something you need to have in TD?
No, not really. It has never been popular and, above that, it is long since outdated. Everybody uses classified gear sets now. Even those who still use "hexotic" builds ( a combination of high-end & exotic gear pieces) don't wear them. The talent is limited to sidearm and nobody wants to waste the glove talents for the rarely used pistol. It is only interesting for those who want to have a complete collection of exotic weapons and gear pieces for the Marshal Shield.
