Nah, Y2P owners got one week early access to Ghost mode, but after that everyone got it.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
I agree. I like Tier One mode the way it is.Originally Posted by RedCeII Go to original post
I still remember those good days when in GRFS and before, enemies always aimed to the head, so playing in a careless way could get you killed only with one shoot.
Now we have BS like bullet resistence perks and non-sense revive mechanic (in GRFS the revive mechanic was way better than what this game has, but that can be said for most of the game lol)
I would like to see Tier One in Fallen Ghost's, to get around the annoying bullet resistence perk.
Well, being as I'm intent on eventually completing my Tier Level 1 Mission Replay play through in the form of a full set of videos, and Mission Replay is the only way to play on Tier Level 1, I really doubt I'll get around to trying Ghost Mode, being as I can't complete that task as long as Ubi leaves La Plaga bugged with the tunnel door not opening in Mission Replay. To play on Ghost Mode while completing such a goal could leave me starting from scratch as well. As long as it took to get to Tier Level 1, it would definitely not be acceptable to have to start the whole game over.Originally Posted by non-exist-ent Go to original post
As many have mentioned on these forums, Ubi have no sense of order. They leave significant bugs unfixed, while continuing to crank out new content. They should have at least made Tier One stats carry over, instead they add permadeath, which wipes out all stats.
You...do know you can get to tier 1 in just a few hours of concerted play if you grind a handful of extremely easy, fast, high tier point missions, right?Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
Also it's even faster in Ghost mode because you earn 50% extra tier points (and XP and resources) for every action that generates them?
Also Ghost mode gives you an absurd amount of prestige---400 every time you complete a boss mission, 3000 when you reach level 30, 3000 when you reach tier 1?
And of course you can backup your savegames to ignore permadeath if you don't want to deal with that?
It's totes worth it, I actually got to tier 1 in Ghost mode the week it was released---so like two months ago---and only just did tier 1 for the first (and only!) time in vanilla just last week (to milk the last bit of PvE prestige credits except the weekly challenges).
If you're only going to do tier 1 once definitely do it in Ghost mode. It really was soooo much faster and more rewarding.
It was HELLA longer than a few hours even getting from Tier 35 to Tier 1, let alone adding the time from starting the game. I also read the thread of the guy that first beat Ghost Mode, and it took way longer than a few hours or even a few days. So please, stop with the exaggerations. If you have to end with "backup your saves to avoid losing everything", it kinda makes my point. Until ALL missions are replayable in Mission Replay, I'll avoid it. Again, with all these updates, by now they should have at LEAST addressed the problem of Mission Replay being the only way to play on Tier Level 1, because at least one mission, a pretty significant story one, cannot be played on Mission Replay without failing mission. They're getting WAY too far ahead of themselves continuing to put out fluff updates without first fixing major problems with the core game.
Tier 1 mode is horrible. It's not fun, its a boring grind. I didn't even bother until the new ghost mode, but I just lost a save because you idiots don't test your game right. I'm done with ubisoft games. You ruined Ghost Recon and Splinter Cell has been dead for 5 years because you took this overly casual approach and crappy development.
Tier 1 mode is absolute garbage. You up the difficulty at a disproportionate level, its not fun. I never bothered with it past 35 because it was clearly a terrible attempt to add pointless grinding. I tried it with Ghost mode and just lost it to a glitch and now I'm ready to smash my ****ing xbox because your bosses can't ****ing do their jobs right.
Lucky you. I've had it occur multiple times. The most recent was on Watchman Tier 1 Extreme. I was incapacitated. Then an AI teammate was incapacitated, followed by a second AI teammate. The last AI teammate must have been in a dissociative fugue because he was frozen in a crouch position mid-way up the stairs, eight feet away from me, and remained so for the residual 50% of my maxed out bleed-out timer.Originally Posted by Frag_Maniac Go to original post
