The ability to dynamically change the variation of an object with data sources and operations, as well as tie the variation slider in the variation event to a data source or operation.

This becomes immediately useful when you are dealing with letters and you need 26 variation events to change to any letter, when a single variable data source with a set value event tied to the variation of an object will do the same job.
