Before Forsaken exotics dropped pretty frequently.Originally Posted by Merphee Go to original post
I'm definitely a casual, I played Destiny 2 once a week with a friend and I almost had every exotic weapon outside the raid, and the many duplicates of them all.
Most of the exotics were interesting, but I wouldn't call them rare before Forsaken.
I agree there are to many guaranteed sources of exotics in the Division.
For guarantee exotic missions, I think the Division developers should look at the Whisper of the Worm mission In Destiny 2. It's the exotic quest that drew me into Destiny. A mission that doessn't baby you.
Not sure what you mean in the first part.Originally Posted by Kalimwulf Go to original post
Not getting something as important as a full classified set in the Division really holds you back.
Theses days I can get a few classifieds a day from the completion of a legendary mission but to complete a set is very difficult, even during the GE for some.
I see this as an issue. Rare and powerful is not good in the case of classifieds.
I hope there is target loot tables in Div2.
I'd like to see a cross between the exotic and secret quests from Destiny 2 and the alerts from Warframe.
Johan, how often are these going to be released? Are they going to cover weapons again with more detail? Because I was really hoping for some more in depth look at the driving forces behind changes. In this first one it really just seemed like the most simple explanation possible. I think everyone who has played the first game knows that some weapons are lackluster. I have said many times that ammo being so plentiful was the biggest reason why the high RPM meta is able to carry on. If all the Devs are going to say is we know thing "A" was not as good as thing "B" and we really wanted to change it..... it just seems silly.Originally Posted by Ubi-Johan Go to original post
That's why I have always said they should focus in on the fun factor of the game. If the game is fun and enjoyable people will get the loot and they don't need to make it rain. At the same time the loot needed to rain because all of it was junk and still continues to be. They didn't figure out that balance and who knows if they will be able to going forward. Since they are not talking about the game at all.Originally Posted by RushLoongHammer Go to original post
Yea, I understand why the loot rains.Originally Posted by gt2k Go to original post
I hope in Div2 the loot reward system is well thought out.
I rather it be fun to play and balanced. Everything else will fall into play after that. Example of that is god of war. The combat in that game is so fun you forget you are grinding away for things. I forgot to play the story because I was having too much fun killing everything. Too many time have people forgot that games are supposed to be fun.Originally Posted by RushLoongHammer Go to original post
Yea when the core of the game is so fun you just keep playing and forget the main quest :POriginally Posted by gt2k Go to original post
That happens to me every time I play Fallout 3 and Skyrim.
I hope a little bit of this feeling gets into Div2.
The Division never had that feeling. It pushed you to finish the linear and simple story missions, then wanted you to do some of the copy/paste sidemissions and encounters, then repeat everything to get RNG loot.
There is something in the Division that kept me playing; I can't nail exactly what it is; maybe it's 'what it could have been' or the way combat feels; not sure.
But ultimately It's lost in all the wasted empty world, repetition, the honestly boring campaign story & missions (except some of the incursions), focus on % and RNG, and the dull grind.
I truly wish they would stop using the word "realism" with regard to weapon mods. Based upon what has been shown so far, realism has nothing to do with the system at all. How in the world does adding a forward grip to a rifle decrease accuracy? Yes, it should improve stability and probably handling, but a forward grip has absolutely nothing to do with accuracy. This issue persists throughout the mod system. It isn't "realism"; it's gamification.
I'm not suggesting the system as shown should change; only the wording used to describe the system in these news posts and developer blogs. The wording is incredibly irritating and makes the writers look ignorant.
Just read through the blog post and i am getting quite worried about Division 2, for the same reasons as mentioned above. The main draw of Division for me has been hunt for that perfectly rolled weapon or mod. Dumbing down the loot variations is what got everyone extremely unhappy with Destiny 2, there was nothing to aim for after you made it to endgame. I put a fair share of hours into the game anyway, did the raid few times but there was no reason to play after certain point. With Division there is still plenty of room for me to optimize my character even after 200+ hours ingame. So please, dont change the system too much!
Hi guys! What you think about this weapon in TD2? I hope UBI create guns like this AR-15 pistol 5.56mm. 🙏https://cdn3.bigcommerce.com/s-k0rs1...80.500.jpg?c=2
