So, what do you guys think?
So far I'm liking the idea of grenades specialisation and the extra Rifle weapon category.
I was expecting more. It was just reiterating the same information we heard in prior interviews.
I hope we get more dev blogs about the network, connectivity, netcode, anticheat, combating toxicity, etc
Not sure how will burst fire weapons work this time since burst fire weapons were terrible in TCTD1.
Oh me too, but if these blogs come quite frequently, I can live with that.Originally Posted by Demiz3r Go to original post
Well the Demolitionist technically has two grenades @ 30, but that's none of my business. I still think it will be the PvP specialist of choice. Locking in that bet now.
Glad they're adding the rifle category, but it's not about adding a new category, it's about if those weapons will be and stay viable throughout the life of the game.
Could be, yes. But we don't know anything really about PvP and or the grenade damage. Maybe the flashbang will actually be more valuable in PvP.Originally Posted by Merphee Go to original post
One thing is certain though, no more shock nades![]()
My thoughts, nice info, keep it coming.
I'm still concerned dumbing down the mod system will bring simplification (reminds me of Destiny 2 and not in a good way). Although plus & minus stats per say not the issue, what are: no loot at all and reduced build diversity.
Weapon feel improvements (having played console version of TD2 seems very similar tbh) are subjective and I never really felt they were an issue in TD so any improvement may not be felt. Lots of weapons felt different, but you would only use a few and that is the real issue. I'd have loved to use the Tommy Gun........
They also suggest talents will be more situational. Overall, from what we have heard so far, I get the impression they are trying to narrow the rewards gap that power and loot brings. Which appears to be targeting casual players and not us.
Hopefully we will hear about Anticheat and the DZ in the next one but I highly doubt it.
For what was presented I think it's all improvements compared to Div1
I was expecting to see more though.
From what was pieced together already, there wasn't much new info.
I thought it'd be at a live stream level with some devs.
Just a suggestion
The Damage drop off graph should show the initial distance that the damage starts to drop off. I did an example.
