FAR CRY 6?Originally Posted by Fallen-Champ Go to original postI'd only consider FAR CRY 6 if its 8vs8 or more and more then two game modes. Also server browser first day and even better map editor. We need domination/conquest also respawning vehicles is a deal breaker. If UBISOFT doesn't give us all of this forget about it. It wont be the only game i'm skipping. I'm skipping BFV as well. That's putting it nicely. We been burned last 3 games here. 4 times in a row wont be a charm either.
Yeah UBISOFT redeemed them selves and gave us the server browser. But still side stepped and said no to new game modes and respawning vehicles. Also 6vs6 this day in age is limited. Give us 8vs8 or even 12vs12 and bigger budget for editor and then its on. Besides respawning vehicles and domination then ya might have a game worth talking about again like old FAR CRY 2 days. Doubt we see any of this until UBISOFT makes a new game engine or until next generation consoles come out.
Guys lets not jump on a hate train with Ubisoft - I for one am disappointed that I did not get everything that I wanted and felt were possible features for this game.
However we did get alot for our money with this game. Especially when you consider all of the massive object drops that they gave us. They even implemented scripting and from my point of view this is THE BEST FAR CRY to date. As long as Far Cry 6 is a step forward and not a step back we will be fine.
Let's also not forget that the people that work on the game have a limited amount of time allotted for certain aspects of the game before they are asked to move on. It is worry-some that they were not able to add more game modes to the PVP but we don't know why. It could be one of those things that they brought up in meetings but were shut down by their bosses due to time or player count.
The only thing that we could do now (Aside from modding lol.) is be positive - enjoy what we have because it is one of a kind and keep giving these guys positive constructive feedback for their next outing. They do indeed read these posts and alot of our ideas managed to make it into Far Cry 5.
Well said Fallen.Ninja My thoughts as well. I am mostly very happy with this editor, yes more PvP modes would have been needed to bring back more players. But from a Sp stand point this editor is better then I expected it to be. I will keep mapping.Originally Posted by Fallen.Ninja Go to original post
Let's be honest, from launch this has been the most comprehensive map editor, together with assets from other Ubi games (someone made a really inspired decision there). If the editor was error-free from launch and I mainly mean the publishing errors etc re: Redhorn and Snowshoe and bugs with playing online as well as bugs in the campaign, there would have been a lot less criticism by a large number of players.Originally Posted by Steve64b Go to original post
A lot of players will constantly be asking for more of everything, and its admirable that Ubi have added NG+ for Campaign and a public lobby browser with player hosting. I honestly commend Ubi for working so cohesively with player feedback. I was more than happy with the game at launch, apart from the errors I've experienced.
The latest updates are awesome - scripting is a huge addition in the sense of what players can now create. I would still have settled for a bug-free game though. Bugs=stress and irritation. This is why I would suggest an open beta because the closed beta (which was great and opinions were listened to) at launch FC5 had a lot of bugs which could have been sorted out months in advance.
WHYYYYY!!! Why is there still no section to put a map description so you can explain your map. Especially with the new scripting and trigger points. People dont know this has to break in order to move on or something. I little bio wouldn't hurt to help explain what's going on. Would help to not get a down voted map that you spent 20 hours on....
Glad you can stay positive. The map editor is awesome. But I quit FAR CRY 5 how long ago. Nail in the coffin for me was no respawning vehicles or any new game modes of conquest or domination. Also the budget is pretty low to make a awesome map. We all been burned since FAR CRY 3 days then FAR CRY 4 days now FAR CRY 5 they let us down right off the bat with pick 3 maps then most of the community vanished then they gave us the server browser.Originally Posted by Fallen.Ninja Go to original post
But was a bit late cause the community is divided into server browser, arcade heroes and pick a map yet. Also TDM and DM is boring. I was bored with them game modes first week also playing same 3 or 4 maps got old fast. 6vs6 is very limited. I said all this before the game was released pretty much. UBISOFT needs to learn to listen. They will lose pre-orders fast like DICE and the dull Battlefield 5.
I think the idea since FC3 about lower numbers in multiplayer, like 6v6 instead of 8v8 was to "encourage better teamplay". I think that was the same reasoning why there were no vehicles in multiplayer in FC3.
I think everyone needs to keep an open mind about having a minimum of 8v8. It won;t stress out the servers, its got a track record of producing better matches. I think once it gets about 12v12, then teamplay could possibly be less consistent, plus the map dimesions we have to work with simply won;t accomodate jhuge amounts of players, but the difference between 6v6 and 8v8 is a bit baffling.
To be fair, nobody is asking for 4v4 instead of 6v6.
Nobody is asking to remove vehicles from multiplayer.
Nobody is or has ever asked for vehicles to not respawn.
So I just don't get it either, but I am pretty happy with the MP, some really big improvements which should be appreciated instead of people being too hard-hearted and insisting on a set way to have it and kind of demanding that it should be in a specific way.
I agree on 8v8 though, for sure, and respawning vehicles.
8vs8 and respawning vehicles is a must. Bonus if we get conquest/domination game mode with a option up to 6 flags to cap. Also increase map editor budget. Then were cooking. But if its still 6vs6 and no respawning vehicles and the same old boring TDM and DM. then the respawn timer just makes for boring small map matches. Total snoozefest. I cant remember last decent multiplayer shooter UBISOFT has made. Siege would of been okay with no bogus of getting voting out or team killed. Beyond that Division I cant say but didn't appeal to me. GRAW:WL was 4vs4. Also it didn't have multiplayer right away. So last legit awesome shooter form UBISOFT is either GRAW2 or Rainbow Six Vegas 1 or 2? Man get up to speed UBISOFT.
