Okay, Ubisoft is terrible at the battlepack system. We all know that. To be honest, I think they should let players have new content they come out with automatically since they bought the game, instead of milking players for their money like EA.
Anyway, I've come to complain (forewarning). I was looking around to find cool stuff to customize my characters with. I foound a whole bunch of stuff. But every pack I looked at had only a couple of things I actually wanted, but were so expensive for just the little amount of stuff. So, I thought, "hey, why not go for a battlepack- chance are that I'll get most of the stuff I want." So, I spent $20 and bought the packs. As I'm opening them, I'm not getting anything that I wanted... maybe only two things. Instead I'm getting some lame Fortnite motions or something, and some costumes I'll never use. This really frustrated me since I paid a excessive amount of money for so little that I didn't even want and have no way of being able to trade in for something I actually want.
In my honest opinion, this system should not exist for many reasons. But I know for a fact they would never get rid of the system since they like money (who doesn't?), so why not give the player the option to make their own packs or individually buy each item they want... for cheaper... or maybe have a proper in-game currency you make while playing, and use that for stuff you want... NOT REAL MONEY that you convert into fake money.
Just a frustrated thought...
I'd love to have a player market system.Originally Posted by warbman3 Go to original post
The items that bother me the most are icons because I prefer full character customisation, but I know they are quite popular with some people.
Would be fab to be able to sell or trade them to players who want them.
Rainbow Six Siege does it best, but I really don’t have a problem with the way Wildlands does it either.
With relatively ease, you get a Prestige Crate with a chance at almost ANY item with possibility of a duplicate. If so, you get Credits, even if a small amount, that do add up quick due to the abundance of Prestige Points.
When you can get an actual Ghost or Battle Crate that’s guaranteed three unobtained items.
Even if you opt to grind it out, you can still obtain many items without spending any actual money, and regardless of how many items you do or don’t get, these items are all on top of hundreds of items that are available for free in-game.
Compared to an actual EA-style pay-to-win (or worse, pay-to-play) system, Wildlands is nowhere near the worst of them.
My biggest problem is the inability to buy specific, individual items, and the sleazy way they make you buy an abundance of Credits to buy a Pack that you do want (pricing things at 2000 Credits, but only offering 1700 or 3000-something Credits with no option inbetween).
I cratespammed right before and then a couple of weeks after "SO2" to get everything and thus have all icons except for the newest batch and the store exclusives. I'll trade them all to you when they institute a player market. XDOriginally Posted by Lynxpics Go to original post

But, hey, a person can dream.
Well, for one thing, the older store items(ghost packs, Ghost War packs, and cosmetic packs) are not part of the Spec Ops or Ghost War crates anymore. They have been moved to the loot pool for Prestige crates. Meanwhile the spec ops and Ghost war crates, both include Icons, some exclusive customization items and weapons, Emotes, and voice lines, There are vehicles for use in PVE in the spec ops crates only, and victory poses in the host war crates only, for PVP
So if you are trying to get lucky and get store items from a crate, you need to buy the prestige crates. but they do not include items from the Predator pack, R6 pack, or the relentless fighter packs. Those items are still exclusive to their packs.
