I keep 4 of each type of damage in my bag - seeker, sticky bomb and turret. With 4 equipped, that means 8 slots in your bag. If this is a massive problem for you, you can put them on to 4 unused backpacks and it will only take up 4 slots in your bag.
Many consider sticky bomb radius to not be worth it. You can run some tests and see for yourself how much the damage radius actually increases.
My go-to PvE grinding setup Is a fully optimized 6-pc Tac load out, with two perfect "god roll" weapons (at least for this build). I've experimented with a few variations, but found my favorite arrangement is the bullet turret and the seekers. I have two performance mods installed for higher turret damage and two for higher seeker damage. Like Sangerss I also have two for sticky damage in my bag, and on some occasions swap one of my skills for the sticky, but 98% of the time I run turret/seeker.
For my particular play style this arrangement rocks, but of course YMMV. With the seeker boost (and the variation that allows the seeker to split into smaller ones) I can kill 6 Veteran NPCs from full health with one seeker. If I have either my Tac stack up or the Talented talent active (rolled on both my M4 and my M700) I can clear out 4 Elites from full health also.
In its current form it's by far my favorite solo PvE build. The Ambush GE plays right into its strengths also, and I can clear Lex on Challenging in 8 minutes (by myself).
Like Sangerss said, just leave the radius ones to themselves. Not worth it. Its really up to preference on the the other two. I use to use all seeker damage but then i switched it to sticky damage as once the Legendary's came out the seekers dont really do the job on the Hunters so I switch to a turret when i get to the end of missions and when i did that it makes my seeker damage mods useless.
On legendary I'm using airburst to make them stand up and then sticky. It's fairly effective. It works really well against the rushers. I'm experimenting with the mods myself. I thought that using +plus radius, +sticky damage would be the most effective, but that isn't bearing the kind of fruit I was expecting.
Would you mind listing the talents on your weapons? I'm using Talented, Competent, and Determined. I haven't picked up my 6th piece yet, still using Barrett's. I was thinking about having my secondary with Predatory on the free slot for health, but I'm mulling that over.Originally Posted by Sock_Monkey Go to original post
Thanks for talking about your build. Not many people talk about using the 6p.
test for yourself and see. do not think that because the others say radius is useless that it is. When most enemies drop to a base sticky anyway why do you need extra damage. If you are only fighting a single AI target or player sitting in cover then yeah the Damage mod is great. for every other use the radius wins in my book.
