but if you take away one broken mechanic then he becomes mortal like everyone else. Without the dance he is just another player IMO. I have no clue but has he been a streamer on other titles and if so, was he anywhere as successful as he was in the Division. That being said,i guess there is nothing wrong with mastering the game you are playing, even if that means using broken mechanics as stated above by Teado.Originally Posted by SevenNVD Go to original post
Probably true, ill be the first to admit i havnt seen alot of his stuff as i just dont subscribe into the school of youtube gaming but what i have seen is mostly the same thing. Shakes his mouse, melts you down, rinse, repeat. Takes great aim and im sure he deserves way more credit than i give him. He obviously knew the game inside and out and helped many players, the question is, how many did he corrupt along the way and how much did him advancing his style of play to the devs get us to where we are at. Corrupt probably isnt a good word, dude was just doing his thing. If some zombies want to hang on to his every word and build then thats on them.Originally Posted by gt2k Go to original post
It isn't so much he corrupted players. He had 1 build that people copied and that is the Tanktician build. That didn't break the game with that build and a lot of his builds were more support classes. He has best in slot videos and so on that played more players. He had one video that pretty much give us 1.4 because he showed the developers how broken the game was. He had more videos to deal with gitches and bugs that helped the game along in a better direction. Watching his stream highlights he doesn't use the chicken dance which is a broken mechanic that he wanted fixed years ago. I think I have seen him use it a few times the past year.Originally Posted by moesuvious Go to original post
People hate on him because the only time the game gets fixed is when he does a video on it. Skillup had a more direct line to the developers than Marco did. Marco didn't quit because he couldn't do a 1v3 anymore. People saying that is just trolling the forum.
im with you, ive trashed him for sure but ill trash most youtubers to be fair and i do know he was against the dance but every video ive seen he was using it but again, that is a very small sample and if its in the game then why not utilize it to your advantage. I say that about a broken mechanic, not about exploits of course but that is another thread altogether and nothing to do with him. I think alot of the people are saying that is why he quit because he literally said that in his last video although im sure it was just a poor choice of words. I honestly was surprised he held on as long as he did, the game has been dead for a long, long time.Originally Posted by gt2k Go to original post

Cover based gameplay and range would actually force people to aim better.
There are streamers I flatout dislike, but Marco/Widdz ain't on that list. Though I don't blindly agree with everything they say.
The real problem is that Classified basically ruined the concept of outplaying multiple people. It's basic shooter 101. The more toughness/health and sustain rises, the more bum rushing and CQC rises. The more the focus shifts towards DPS and Skills, the more you'll see tactics, fights at all ranges, ... come to the forefront.
You could see Striker as a crutch, but in reality it was simply the last viable DPS set out there. You can't outplay 1vsX fights if you can't kill enemies quick enough when you finally get the drop on them. The sheer nature of winning a 1vs4, is trying to turn it into 4 seperate 1vs1's and that requires timing, TTK management, ...
They simply destroyed it with this patch.
And it doesn't necessarily affect solo players alone, it affects everyone to some degree. Even 4vs4 is now a dumb spam fest with people soaking up bullets like 1.3 NPC's.
Funny enough, in the Classified 1.8 meta, the old DeadEye (excluding the hipfire nerf, that was needed) behavior would've actually been balanced, it just wasn't back in the 1.6/.1.7 days.
People aren't mad because they nerfed striker, people are mad because they took a complete U-Turn after 1.6/1.7 and turned it into a Stamina/Toughness/Sustain bollox fest and they have now removed the last bit of viable DPS that was left.
Well said. I have the same sentiment regarding the state of the game.Originally Posted by Corrupt_be Go to original post
Striker was the easiest way to get a lot of DPS. To get near 1.8 Striker DPS now, you're gonna need to proc a lot of stuff in a short amount of time, or still use Striker. The viable DPS left in the game, imo, requires a lot more work, and I think that's what players don't want to do. So you just throw on an 8k Nomad instead.Originally Posted by Corrupt_be Go to original post
I honestly hope if gear sets return in Division 2, that the condition of bonuses are met by actually playing the game and not by just having the gear equipped.
