Yeah, I must be honest and say that as a set striker (concept in general) is perfect division gear. The problem as usual is the way it all comes together. TTK in PVP is too high, Tank damage is awful almost like they intentionally tried to copy the Tanktician meta. In PvP you need the 2 stacks because players just move more than AI. It would have been the perfect set to require burst weapons or higher stacks based on RPM not just flat. And they should have split the 6pc so that Stamina gets healing stacks Firearms gets damage stacks. Not the one stat to rule them all style they pushed with classified.Originally Posted by Corrupt_be Go to original post
It is annoying how they learn a lesson like tank damage healers with sticky are bad but add a tank damage healer with weapons. They also learned flat damage on gloves was bad for low RPM but gave sets flat buffs mostly beneficial to high RPM.
Massive needs to hire a designer from a veteran game like Diablo or WoW to get their gear in order. While I am sure the current guys have passion.... it just seems they are not understanding the situation. Maybe Marco was trying to give them a wake up call by quitting? Either way all I can do is hope for a better game in the Div 2.
They need both that type of person and someone with really extensive shooter experience... that isn't RS6 (which imo went downhill skill wise after Raven Shield).Originally Posted by MutantCowboy x Go to original post
They could definitely do with some Diablo inspiration but keep in mind this game has the same problem Destiny does with balancing seamless PvE and PvP - something I'm a fan of on paper but in practice has proven dubious at best.
6p Tac for example needs to be completely redone, or the SP cap removed. SP in general needs to be overhauled as I said in another thread. All 3 stats do honestly, but that's another topic.
One thing they could have tried with Striker is having stacks build differently or even have different effects based on the equipped wespon. SMGs granting bonus crit damage per stack or EAD for ARs etc.
I'm also going to just flat out suggest that LMGs have their accuracy while moving greatly reduced (at least for the box mags anyway) and their damage bonus cranked way up to like 40% or more. That coupled with an across the board accuracy penalty for movement (severity based on weapon type) and a total overhaul of skillpower - into a more geographic curve with no cap and affecting all attributes of every skill - would go a hell of a long way towards restoring balance and pushing the game back into a tactical shooter.
Oh yeah, what do you guys think of changing Nomad 6p to be Stamina based? Instead of the flat 50% start it at like 15 or 20, increasing for every 2000 Stamina but with an absolute cap on the number or potential procs - 4 or 5 seems more than fair and the high Stamina req would mean less offense for the set so it's a dedicated survival set and not an enabler for solo rampages in the DZ.

I think so too, best thing they could do in the game would be to remove classified bonuses from PVP.Originally Posted by Ah_Pook_Is_Here Go to original post
Problem is that there is no trade off by using any build. For example i played long time Lineage 2 as tank, tank had skill ultimate defence for 30 sec. Orc damage dealer had skill frenzy for 30 sec which allowed him ohk most of his pvp enemy's. Helear had ability to heal whole group called group heal.
Here is how it would look lineage 2 in division version. Tank use ultimate defence, frenzy, group heal simultaneously. People call division as RPG. Since i'm not PVE player perhaps there is RPG. But in DZ there is no RPG since one single class can play several roles tank, healer, damage dealer.
Only gear set which i consider as RPG in DZ is reclaimer to have solid heal, especially cooldown, u must invest ELE much as possible and u have no damage, no toughness only heal ur mates and ur self and 100% die 1 v 1 against any other build.
I would not say that their are only 2 viable weapons, I would actually say there are about 11 depending on how you build. 5 ARs, 4 MMRs, and 1 non-house SMG are used on one build or another by either me or a member of my team quite well. I have seen some LMG/Shotty use but they did ruin them (again) after 1.7 I understand the anger directed at the House. I just feel if that is the only weapon a player can build around then it shows just the kind of youtube needing player he/she is.
There is on the Hexotic. Or if you also count Deadeye's in-cover requirement.Originally Posted by Solidus... Go to original post
Trade-off should go beyond simply having more invested into one main stat over the other.
