I can’t blame him one bit. I’m a day 1 and I rarely even play anymore. Just basically do my shields and dabble here and there in the DZ. Most of my friends don’t wanna play because there really isn’t anything for us to do anymore, bc we don’t really need gear either. The game is slowly heading to EOL and once D2 drops this D1 Agent is out to Washington.
I do not blame him for quitting the game, if he wants to stop that is fine. I just find it funny that he is partly the reason we are in this state to begin with (not fully). I also find it funny that his valuation on skill is judged only by him being able to kill everyone with cheese mechanics. Then, combine that because this game and his reviews are how he even got famous, yet he wants to act like he is so good that having to play like everyone else is beneath him....
You can say that 6pc classy are all no skill gimmicks as much as you want. How they give bad players equal ground as elite players. That is just dog poop, and some weak excuse. If players have the same options then the only difference is skill. They do not say this set is for players with under 100 rogue kills only, or under 5% accuracy only, or cover using "scrub" only. I love the classy sets..... I do wish they were implemented better, but one set being just obviously OP from another does not make you skilled.
With striker gone, if you had skill without it you are even better now. If you needed it, i assume you would be salty now. Hey, welcome to the club, I have had to deal with it as a skill user over and over again. I did not leave even though 6pc skill builds are among the weakest sets in PvP.
It is funny that exactly the guy who posted a lot of classified builds for other players to copy, states that he quits the game, because there are too many unskilled players with classy builds in DZ. If this is really his reason he is a drivelling idiot, imo. And to be honest, Day 1 players have nothing left to do for months already, especially hardcore players like the youtubers.
And it wasnt horrible and dull before?Originally Posted by Corrupt_be Go to original post
I guess not if youre playing style suits the striker meta that was. If you werent some god-bestowed human aimbot (like some youtubers) then more than likely you played another set. Wasnt it boring and dull then, when going up against an OP striker build? Let alone a squad of them!
You only had to look at the videos churned out of dz play and see what a one dimensional experience pvp was back then. Disagree!? Thats fine. And that why I played anything but a striker. Wasnt boring for me trying to stay alive against an op build that gave the most dps with an AR/SMG and had no need for a healer. That was challenging and a more satisfying experience to stay alive. Now the shoes on the other foot.... all of a sudden its boring! ^^
I guess too many solo players running nomad means you have a fight on your hands every single encounter. No more one or two bursts and theyre down encounters. I am wrong?
Update 1.8.3 only happened because of Marco finding the cause of the 'running in place bug', as said by Terry, creative director at Redstorm.Originally Posted by Zimbo78 Go to original post
If you read the previous responses, some people like the Diversity in PvP now bought by U1.8.3, again directly resultant from Marco finding a nasty bug.
He had a part in Update 1.4, ETFalpha, considered the PvE revamp patch and was accepted positively.
He has been an net positive to the game.
The reason ive never liked Marco and his kind are because they make zombies out of playerbases. Failed a mission once, straight to youtube they go, got killed by someone in PVP, straight to youtube they go. Then within a week 75% of the playerbase are all running the same thing.
