[feedback] [suggestion] Lootcrates and Ingame store

I just wanted ubi to know that all these lootcrates with great cosmetic items really piss me off, and im sure that many other people agree.
In my opinion this game is awesome but as customization is a big part of the experience with many things to choose from i find it irritating knowing that there is more options for customizing my character that is locked and just sit there, waiting for me to throw a good amount of money away only to get these items, and there is NO other way of geting them!
Why cant you create a way of unlocking them by playing the game we love?
Please if you are reading this, at least think about it. Thanks.

You could add ingame currency that you earn from missions for example.
Its just unfair that people with more money to spend can get to enjoy items while others cant.

What you're asking for already exists.

Earn prestige via tier mode (PvE), Ghost mode (PvE), weekly challenges (PvE), prestiging and then levelling up (PvP), daily challenges (PvP).

Use your prestige to buy prestige crates. Prestige crates will give you old battlecrate items.

Every prestige crate fills a counter up to 20, then you get a free new battlecrate.

Every duplicate item from a prestige crate gives you 10 credits in the regular store.

Yea but the system is still messed up. It takes way to much time to get just one create that just give you some bad camo or something. It would be much better if you could spend the credits on individual items that you want like a helmet for example. Also the weapons and other items that you only get by buying the season pass is not obtainable by earning these credits. Should you really have to pay 30 eur for some helmet that in an other game would be easy to get by playing the game and not by making you wallet empty, do you understand?

Yeah, a lot of people have been asking for ages if we could just buy individual items in the store, but Ubi's answer to that was to bundle emotes that people want even less than other things into the battlecrate mix.

    So I don't think there's much hope really. ((((

If more people start posting these in the forums or on reddit perhaps they will take notice and listen. We can always try so encourage others to also post about the subject if they think its something that should be fixed, i already posted it on the gr subreddit you should also

The weight of criticism of the battlecrate system has been pretty intense all year.

I only started posting here a few months ago, but I've brought it up frequently, as have many others here.

Ubi's response a couple of months ago to our dissatisfaction was the new "SO2" battlecrates full of emotes that have basically no application anywhere in PvE or PvP and other "social items" like voicelines and PvP victory poses---mildly amusing but hardly what we really want---and many more weapon paints no one wants that don't even have matching clothes and many silly boring or tactically useless vehicles like tractors and construction equipment.

We complained roundly about that as well.

So just this past week we got "O&M" with a new batch of battlecrate items and, you guessed it, quite a few more of them were emotes, and of course the things people really want (like new weapons) are very few and all of "legendary" rareness and thus difficult to get without cratespamming.

It begins to feel like Sisyphus rolling a boulder up hill. Just when we feel the devs are starting to listen another update comes out that fails to take into account nearly everything we said. And the boulder crashes back down the hill again.

The cycle of expectation and disappointment is extremely hard to deal with, and at some point it becomes a bit more sensible to just take what they give us and quit the game if that isn't good enough. It can be dangerously delusional to overestimate our impact here. We keep doing it, and the disappointment keeps crushing us.

It is extremely unlikely Ubi will alter their business model because we ask them to. I think at some point we need to learn that.

Of course we make our mommas proud, we graduated with PhDs in mayhem.

I do actually enjoy the voicelines a little for PvP. I often trigger that "You make your mommas proud!" line when we do well and then get a "Thanks!" (which has no voiceline, it's just a default quick message you can send via the command wheel) from another teammate. Or I'll trigger "We're all offence!" when we all pick assault classes and go rushing in, and someone else will do "Copy that!" similar to the "Thanks!" message.

Sometimes one person will trigger a voiceline, then someone else, then someone else. Sometimes they even make sense, and it's often as though our toons are having a real conversation! XD

The world of Ghost War quickplay with randoms usually lacks much communication or teamwork, but it creates an odd sense of camaraderie, even intimacy to trade voicelines (and the nonvoiced messages in the wheel) from time to time.

Obviously I'd still much rather have more weapons and tactical gear from these crates.

I get that completely. But I'd like it more if those emotes and voice lines were the only thing in the loot crates and maybe the icon skins I suppose. I definitely don't think weapons should be locked behind something you have to constantly throw money at as a gamble to hopefully get a weapon. That's just ignorant to a lot of us here and is really a predatory practice. With all flak other companies are getting lately why does ubisoft get a pass??
