Do you think consoles and the amount of effort that goes into cross platforming has actually hurt the PC performance? I've spent the last two months trying to figure out what the hell's going on with the GPU utilization. Some might say that it's bottleneck somewhere, or that SLI is borked. I think I've come to my own conclusion. If anyone else has trouble with driver issues use this as your last step.
Download DDU. Start windows in safe mode. Do a clean uninstall. Restart then install drivers. If you get 99% usage of your GPU then problems fixed. However, that brings me to the conclusion. When it comes to SLI in this game they just don't play good together. I think the issue could easily be solved if booby soft actually wanted to do it. So the issue is the GPU utilization does not match the frames per second.
I'll give you an example, take the Witcher 3. Before DDU, going usage 79-80 on both, fps around 80. After DDU, GPU usage 99, fps locked 120.
Crysis 3 same story. 99% on both GPU's, like it should be.
Ghost Recon wildlands. 94%, 85%, 37 fps. I mean wtf.
So I started playing around with Nvidia inspector. I changed the profile to Far Cry 3. FPS shot up to 70-80 and the usage also went up. The profile is not usable due to the camera Shake but maybe that can be fixed but the point is if Ubisoft wanted to fix the problem they could do it but for some reason they don't want to do it, they think that it's a troubleshooting issue, but it's actually the game. If anyone else has any ideas for fixes let me know.
