    Deadly - a wasted talent?

I have a question. Recently, I've read somewhere in the forum that Deadly is a wasted talent. Unfortunately, the guy did not explain why -as if it were a matter of fact. Some of my weapons have the talent and therefore, I wanted to ask why Deadly is considered as "wasted talent"?

I personally quite like it on crit focused builds, giving my crits that bit of extra punching power.

Curious to see what the more experienced PvP players have to say about the talent though.

I can really only think of one reason it would considered a wasted talent. There is no cap limit on Crit Hit damage so the more the better is my thought but I guess if you are running around with a build that has like a 10% CHC then maybe the extra Crit Hit damage is inconsequential since you would never be getting Crit hits anyways but thats about the only way i see it as being wasted.

if the movement is erractic then its most likely just a seasoned player using a broken movement mechanic to his advantage, if its a uniform dance that is consistent then we call that the Cronus shuffle in the Division. They simply hold one button down and their agent will dance the night away until the button is released.

Thank you for the answers. The explanation of moesuvious sounds logical to me. Then, however, the word "wasted" is a bit exaggerated. "Overrated" would be better, I think. As mentioned before, Deadly gives a bit of extra power and I am glad to hear that I was not wrong to roll it on some of my weapons. Apart from Deadly, what talents are the best for PVP, agents? I like Predatory and Unforgiving.

If you are going all in on a build that will utilize chc and chd everywhere and smg's, then having deadly makes perfect sense. However, if you are running AR's or LMG's, and your chc is under 40%, it makes no sense to default to deadly, simply because it's a pvp gun. That's mindless sheep stuff. For me personally, I would much rather run a talent that is going to be far more active and beneficial, then some lousy occasional spike in damage output.

So no, deadly is not a wasted talent. But it sure as hell isn't the be all end all that content creator sheep would lead you to believe.

Context is everything.Deadly is a good talent but given the limitations of only having three slots available to pick from, it may not be the best. On crit builds like Deadeye and Predators mark its a must, on others it depends greatly on which weapons you are using. Damage types for talents vary between multiplicative and additive, with multiplicative being the better of the two. Here are some classic videos from Marcostyle about damage types in the Division that are a great for understanding how damage works in the Division. Enjoy.

Thank you. That means, it is benefical on my House, but not on my Bullfrog or Big Al, for example, since I cannot reach the 40% CHC. Am I right? Is CHD useless under 40% CHC?
